Question, please....What game is best for me?

Hi.

I am not a gamer per se.

The last game I "seriously" played was Doom II. Long time....

I am looking to get a game.

I prefer the controls of the pc first person shooter, and am looking for something first person, but with a lot of outdoor screen shots and adventure/traveling along with the shoot-em-up.

Any suggestions????

Far Cry sure fits the bill ,so does HL2, Chrome, Vietcong [great outdoors/squad based], Max Payne & Halo to name a few "..outdoor shooters..".
