Im tring to adjust to this cuz im going the PC gaming rout. It just seems way too hard to hit all these controls and remember where you at. I got a controler but that was pointless as you cant use it in most games cuz they have 3000 diffrent keys that do diffrent things. Any help or advice would be nice.
By the way im learning BF 1942 and Tron2.0.

Just stick with a mouse and keyboard. Remap the control commands to keys on the board so that all of them are easily accessable to your one hand. Generally the W A S D format is used, or the arrow keys. Set other functions to the Number Pad, Delete, End, Pg Dwn/Up, Shift and Control buttons if using the arrows, or E Q Z X C, Shift, Ctrl if using the WASD format. Try not to mess with the game's original settings until you're familar with what each function does... generally the developers have a good system mapped out by default.
For the mouse, use it entirely for looking around and aiming/turning. Set the sensitivity to higher than the default generally to get the fastest turning speed available. That's about all I can think of, but I'm sure you'll figure something out.

Its just really hard to get used to. Would I be better off with a controller? For the 1st person shooter games like Tron and BF1942.
How does the settings go since there are so many controlls for the Pc do they all fit right in a controller or joystick? I dont know Im just not very coordinated! Thanks for the words.

IMO, the use of keyboard/mouse if by far easier to use, especially for FPS pc games. For now, forget the controller. Keyboard/mouse take less coordination [to me] than a stick or controller.
Simply re-read the reply by SBS & follow the basic instructions for remaping movement controls. As pointed out, many PC games will include the "WSAD" key movements as default settings. Start there.
Take things one step @ a time. If you dont like it, remap it.
You cant screw up game settings, as there is almost always a default setting to return to if you dont like what you "custom" configure.
[Joysticks are needed for pc space/flight sims, aside from that, I'd bet 90% of pc gamers use keyboard/mouse for gaming].

Thanks Ive done some reserch and you are right. However I did find this thing called the Nostromo n50 SpeedPad http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=1&Product_Id=107727#
Anyway I like the idea of it. It seems like it would make it much easier for me. Have everything in one place ya know. But not a s**t controller as well.

I've looked into similar device [FROG PAD], sans the throttle wheel.
It was originally configured/applied to word processing tasks.
I am not surprised Belkin came out w/the Speed Pad for gaming, I think its only a matter of time before they catch on [at least w/those who have dexterity] :)
