Digital Dimension Development (http://www.d3company.com) announce a new computer game about BASE jumping - most deadly of all extremal sports.

The basic concept is about of human natural virtue that gives us sense of balance. The vestibular apparatus in many respects works because of eyesight - when you close your eyes you will move less confident because you are block at least a half of receptors of your "balancing engine".

Thus, in theory you can sense the free fall almost as basers feel it. Of course, to achieve this effect the image of game should be competent in many factors, such as scale of objects, field of viev, e.t.c.

Yeah, I could get into this game, I was a huge fan of Pilotwings 64. Reminds me alot of that game. Hopefully they add LOADS of fantasy elements/environments too.

I think, there are several advantages in such a game.

It is fresh and rare. You can find a hundreds of car racing games and no one about BASEj. At the same time, the mechanics of BASEj game should be very like to the rally sim - there are just steering and acceleration.

The BASEj game should have astonishing environment and locations - there are many beautiful and unique places where these guys are flying. Moreover, this places so different that gaming process should change too.

And finally, such game can be very addictive, while the gameplay is simple and intensive.
