<div class=\"smallfont\">Mac person?! HELL NO!</div>

Oh... my bad.

It's just that, I couldn't get the link to work...
I just ended up with a message that said something about the required media being written in Mac-ian language, or something.

Ticked me off too. I can't wait for this movie!

I saw The Matrix Revolutions today and...(*I promise i wont give any story away here) Wow, what an awesome sci-fi flick. So much sybolism and interesting concepts (purpose, choice, balance...)
And in tearms of CGI... I dont think computer graphics can be pushed any further at the present moment than the Wachowski's have now done!!! The war to save Zion looks amazing! and Neo's final battle is undeniably awesome as well, I can see more anime influence in that one, kinda reminded me of DragonballZ or sumthin*(i know DBZ's not really real anime but still...)
You should all most-definitly see this movie. The only way you will not like it is if you do not understand it, which would not surprise me considering most people couldnt even understand that Reloaded was meant to build up fuel for the explosion that is The Matrix Revolutions.
(Former)Agent Smith rocks in this movie!!! among the coolest villians I've ever seen. This guy is INSANE. luv it!

MATRIX REVOLUTIONS IN THEATERS NOW!!! SEE IT!!!!!

While I'm willing to concede the Special effects rocked and indeed the movie did, it left a BAAAD taste in my mouth, was the studio worried that nobody understood what the archetect said, I sure did but then they went and copped out completely by just saying not to worry about it. What the hell was THAT!?.

Also, the marovingian is horribly underutilised, totally forgotten once Neo is out of the station. Why is this, those two ghost dudes should have survived that explosion, and the dude has an army of ledgendary monsters, why not at least SHOW them battling the onslaught of smiths

As for as people not understanding things goes I think that would depress me greatly as it's obvious that the whole thing was simplfied opening up enormous continuity errors for the sake of the dumbasses who didn't understand reloaded. Everything feels copped out.

This is all a pity as I wouldn't have minded had everything not gone utterly craptacular once smith started asking Neo why he bothered to get up, it was all fine and dandy up to that point. Save for me being perplexed at the nonsense surrounding the oricle and her "your powers extend to the real world, I won't bother to explain why, after all, it's not like the whole reason the matrix is cool in the first place is because it's plausible. Ah well, at least candy still tastes good".

I know I sound mean but I feel like someone replaced my Lain with the Freiza saga.

*i know this is a lot but i couldnt find a shorter way to say what i wanted to say, sorry*

Just what did the architect say? Nothing, other than unveiling the matrix was rebooted 5 times previously and that prophecy is one big lie meant to continue the chain. He himself in a way admits that he cannot fully understand everything as he says "perhaps it required... a mind less bound by the parameters of perfection." The Oracle simply puts this down in a much firmer way, although she explains it perfectly. "He cannot understand them." He is a program designed to design, to program, to systematically and mathematically create and run The Matrix. He is not programmed to factor the sometimes unpredictable nature of human emotion into his "perfect" equations, therefore he can only be depended upon to say what this equation should work out to, not to understand that the outcome could be different if someone with emotion changed that outcome.

Also, how could the Merovingian be further utilized? What was his purpose beyond transmitting information? Nothing. A huge Orc, Vampire and Werewolf VS Smith, smith, and smith battle, while it would have been undeniably kool, would have done nothing to serve the story, would have had no purpose, other than to become one more thing to criticize. He served his purpose by introducing the concept of purpose, by providing someone to chase our heroes in that badd@ss freeway chase, and by giving them what they needed to get Neo out of the train station. The return of The Twins would also have served no purpose, they were nothing more chasers and if they continued to chase they story would have never ended.

As for Smith asking why Neo bothered getting up, what exactly was wrong with that? Why did no one complain when Smith gave his similar little speech at the end of the first matrix. Smith is enraged dude,, that much is obvious. Can an evil computer program under extreme frustration express his fury without being criticized or cant he?

Also, Neo's powers are not actually extended to the real world. They are extended to the machine world. The Machine world is one big computer system to which all the machines are linked> the matrix was created inside this world. The Matrix is therefore linked to the machine world. Neo unknowingly finds out how to use that link to get into the machine world. And as for why he can do that without being jacked into the matrix… Is it impossible for people to use the internet without a cord? No, we have wireless internet. So who is to say that Neo has not also figured out how to use the energy of his mind/body to remotely link himself to either the Machine World or The Matrix?

I will however admit that neither of the last two movies offers the same kind of zing as the first Matrix film offered with the introduction of the theory of worlds within worlds. However you cannot expect any sequel of this kind to match or surpass the original. You must also understand that the story of the Matrix never “went bad” if it sucks it sucked from the beginning because the entire story was simultaneously created as one big story. Also realize that the second two films were filmed together therefore no matter what anyone thinks, Revolutions was not trying to make up for anything, it is simply the final chapter of the story.

And yes, the candy still tastes good.

P.S. I’ve heard of Lain but haven’t seen it yet. Good times? Enlighten me please if you have time.

First of all, Lain rocks, don't go into it expecting astounding action sequences as they simply arn't there, what is there is the single most mind altering experience I've ever seen on screen.

The Archetect served a far greater purpose than to simply tell us that there had been other 'ones', they didn't require a complete rewrite of the Matrix, They're GIVEN their abilities by the machines to unite those who made the subconcious choice to reject the programme, give them hope, had Neo not been in deep love with Trinity he would have picked out the 35 people from the Matrix to replace the previous Human resistance in Zion, which would have been restored (if somewhat more humble) by the machines, he would have also told them the prophesy, so they would all await the next 'one' beleiving Neo to be the first. This is a great example of the Machines being in total control of something we'd previously believed to be a 'spanner' so to speak.

One has to ask how much further this process of control actually would go, I personally came to the conclusion that the so called 'real world' was still an EXTENSION of the Matrix, built up to give those that reject the programme something to fight for, the illusion that they were free. Sort of giving them just enough of the truth to placate them. THIS is why Neo should have had his shockwaves in the real world, it makes SO much sense. It's so much more sinister.

I realise that the above is just MY theory, but it also sheds light on the whole issue of the levels of survival the machines were willing to accept, THAT was something that KNAWWED at me more the entire wait between movies, yet we never get resolution on that particular issue. While I'm at it, how can the machines make peace with the humans sinse they NEED them as a power transfer. It dosn't make any sense.

The Marovingian needed a bigger role, and certainly closure, he just VANISHED after the train bit, which was unnessesary anyway since Neo could have just woken up, then we could have avoided the whole wireless tranfer plotpoint altogether.

I have no problem with Smith's rant, it was very much in character if lacking the pomposity that makes Smith Smith. It just marks a turning point where we get Dragonball z level dialog trying to close two movies with three of the most AMAZING action sequences ever commited to film (and I do NOT include the final fight in that three), it simply dosn't work and feels both pretentious and out of place.

If Neo's abitities in the real world are due to him being permanently 'Jacked' into the machine world, why can he see all that ridiculous light after going blind, did he somehow get a sismic computer grown in his arse along the way, it's yet another thing which would have been far better explained by the treory above.

I"ll finally make one thing clear, I thought reloaded rocked the house harder than anything to have come before, it's my favourite of the three while I'm debating weather to achnoledge revolutions ever actually happened, I'm taking a blue pill on it's existence as soon as humanly possible.

PS, I repeat, watch Lain

<div class=\"smallfont\">The Archetect...
ok so maybe he said that too but even so...

How can the machines make peace with the humans sinse they NEED them as a power transfer. It dosn't make any sense.
Agreed. This made no sense

The Marovingian needed ...
Agreed. MAJOR need of closure

It just marks a turning point where ... DBZ
Agreed. Although I didn't feel a major connection with DBZ in tearms of diolouge, i did feel as though i was watching the live action version of DBZ when Smith and Neo battled thier way to the sky. I was half expecting Smith to let out a tremedous roar as his hair burst up into a golden mass.

*****Unfortuately it seems that the attatchments feature does not work. I photoshopped a pic of Smith to give him DBZ hiar, thought you might get a kick out of it, but it seems i cant post it here... o well

You make some good points. I'll check into Lain.
Nice trading opinions whith ya!
