Even my wife agrees with me that, there is no more perfect time to come out with a GI-JOE videogame than now. The largest videogame market knows of GI JOE and would respond. Also with all the current military games out now changing one to use GI-JOE characters would get applause. Maybe it just me!?!

Eh.. GI Joe is so PC it's not even funny. I suppose if they made it with the same realism as say Ghost Recon it may be worth playing, but seriously, I don't know if there's many kids around that would even be able to recognize GI Joe if it smacked them in their face.

Hey, if Joe gets to use his 'Kung Fu grip', the game will be a big hit. ;)

If I remember correctly, videogames are played mainly by males in there mid twenties. Almost all males at that age watched GI Joe. Take a game like soldier of fortune and add Duke and Cobra commander and you might have something.

The thing about no one dying is just part of the fun.

To play a FPS where the player could become part of the JOE Team?

OH hell yeah!

Watch the succes of Battlestar Galatica to get a feeling on the succesfullness of somthing like this.....

The BsG generation is just a lil older than the GO JOE! generation so the results may be a lil skewed but it should be a decent indicator.....

If it came to reality I just hope it would break one of the most true video game laws: If a game is named after somthing else that is popular like a movie, comic book, or TV series the game will probally suck and it will never, NEVER be a GREAT game.

Gamemakers tend to rely more on the draw of the game's theme like wolverine, batman, the simpsons etc than the quality of the game itself.

Perhaps this is changing.... I have noticed the the newer Simpsons games are getting decent reviews.

But, back to the point......

If the made a good FPS/RPG that had a teen or mature rating and was set in the G.I. JOE world I would buy it in a heartbeat.....

Actually, GI Joe has been making a comeback, as of late. Cartoon Network has been playing the old episodes every Saturday night (not as good as you remember them/as bad as you remember them). Plus there is a new computer animated "movie" of GI Joe that Cartoon Network played as well.

Also, they recently started selling the 3.25" GI Joe action figures again too.

So I'm guessing the GI Joe franchise is pretty ripe for a videogame. I'd rather have some kind of tactical, squad-based, game that has vehicle missions - I think that would be perfect for GI Joe. But, for the love of gawd, someone has to actually die in this series at some point.

Plenty of Joes died in the comic books. It's just that the cartoon was made for little kids so they toned it down. Still, it had some pretty good stories.

Yeah, the JOE comic book could get pretty serious at times.

The story lines involving Snake Eyes got prety deep and had a very adult theme to them.

I don't know if many remeber, but it was a damn good comic book series for awhile and was highly collected and read.

LOL!!! i stumble into the "console forum" and this is what i find? I should come her more often!

Anyways, just having a GI Joe game won't be enough. Let's get the folks from Sierra that developed Alien VS Predator 2 to create
*drum roll*.... He-Man VS Transformers VS GI Joe.. Now, that would be DA BOMB!!!

Wait, should we include Thunder Cats? "Thunder Cats, AHOOoooo!"

Oh yeah, that Thudercat chic was hot! *drool*

Perhaps Smufs VS. the Thundercats.......

I wonder how many Smurfs a Thundercat could eat.....

It would be Transformers VS. Voltron too, I think..... better match up.....

And the best of all would be for all of them to team-up and wipe out those lame-arse Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and all those other stupid '90s toys........

GI Joe is as old as Rambo, no, even older

A GI Joe game should never be released.....ever again

Hey..... WTF is wrong with Rambo?

I know the later movies became just plain cheesy action movies, but First Blood is a damn good movie!

Seriously.... if you haven't seen First Blood, give it a rent.

I remember GI JOE from my childhood and I would be first in line to get a decent FPS based on my memories but it would have to be good....real good to get any respect. If Hasbro could contract Red Storm Entertainment (Tom Clancy), Ubi Soft, or Lucas Arts I think we'd have a blockbuster on our hands.

Thank God I am not alone in this. GI Joe is cool. Now a Knight Rider game one the other hand would suck suck suck.

I never read the comic. Dark Horse or DC? Marvel was almost as wimpy as Hasbro.
