Okay, so what if you don't have enough clams to pick up the premium 360 bundle, and you can just barely vouch for the core bundle? I'm sure I'm not the only one here. But anyway, without that HD will you be able to play games???

If the core bundle had included a wireless controller and a mem card, it would look really tempting to me (when Oblivion was going to be a launch title). Kameo may also be tempting.

But by the time you by a wireless and a mem card, or even just the mem card, you might as well just get the full system with harddrive. As far as I know the hard drive is only required for b/c.
