I have seen ads in various places for the new GBA-SPs that say "new Brighter Backlit screen" and have wondered if it was true.
Well, I stopped in a Toys R Us today and saw one, and it is indeed true. In fact, both it and the demo DS were right next to each other, and the GBA-SP had the brighter screen (though that may be because the DS has been there longer). I was amazed.
I already have an original GBA-SP and a DS, and I have no real need for a new one, but the reality is that I play lots of GBA games on my DS. And the new GBA-SPs now have a gorgeous display, with the same excellent ergos of the original GBA-SP. So, for $64 I may just jump (there's a Toys R Us ad-book with a 20% off coupon in it at the front of the store)
If you've not seen one it is worth checking out.
