You're in for a hell of a shock when that armor comes off.

Though it's cheesy to put a Halo character in DOA4, it will probably be the closest I get to playing a Halo game in third person view.

That's for sure. When the next Xtreme Beach Volleyball game comes out, don't be surprised if this "Halo" character is on the beach with the rest of the girls.

You're referring to the rumours that this Spartan is female? ;)
If we hold Team Ninja to their word then we have to believe that that is not MC.
When they said, '...a Halo character; but not Master Chief', I was hoping for Cortana myself. But if it's Kelly then that would pretty damned cool too.

I think IGN confirmed that the Halo character is female.
I personally wish that this would not have happened. There seems like there is no way that the Halo universe can be somehow connected to the DOA universe. I like the DOA universe how it is, and now they are making some kind of mockery out of what should be in the world of DOA. This might seem like an odd statement, but the DOA universe is too fantasy to be connected to the Halo universe.
Plus, that armor is too friggan clunky to work in a fast-paced fighting game. Someone(I think it was Mochan) said that they thought the DOA fighters looked and animated to unrealistically for his likings, imagine what the Spartan will look like with the usual DOA animations? Not cool, if you ask me.
This has got me wondering about Itagaki. What motives does he have for wanting to include a Halo character in the DOA world? It's not like we'll be seeing Ryu or Kasumi duking it out next to Master Chief in Halo 3.
Now onto what I think about DOA4. It looks so sick, and will definitely play as good as it looks. Anyone who says that this game has only slightly better graphics than DOAU can kiss the fattest part on my ass. Just look at Ryu. You can see wrinkles in his clothes that are actual wrinkles, because when you looks at other pics, the wrinkles are different. Look at his shin guards and face mask. Beautiful.

Probably an attempt to capitalize on the monster-franchise Halo to encourage the sale of more games. If Halo had its own cereal, kids would eat it up.
DOA4 increased its sales immensely with this one announcement.

You know, I thought that at first before I wrote my post, but then I started thinking about my experiences with people on Halo 2 and DOAU on Live, and I've come up with this. Halo gamers love Halo, and DOA gamers love DOA. I've never heard anyone say that they're quitting DOA to go play some Halo 2, and vice-versa, but I have seen that in a number of other games. I guess it might bring in some Halo gamers, but not much. I really doubt that Halo fans want to throw hands using a spartan. They would rather have their big gunz, instead of going hand to hand combat.
I wonder if Itagaki was persuaded by MS to put in something from Halo since MS doesn't have Halo at launch like they did last year.

I've seen Halo action figures and they sell well. Halo2 headset. Halo XBOX limited edition. Halo parody Red vs. Blue DVD sets. Halo2 limited edition statues.
All I'm saying is if it has Halo in it, it will definately sell a lot more. It's kind of the "IN" game on XBOX even a year after its release. The online crowd has many die-hards who live and die that game. I believe they'll pick up DOA4 for a different spin and a new chance to do something different w/Halo.

The best crossover would have been to have the arbitor with his plasma sword on Soul Calibur 2.
