Here's an Analogy!

Sony is:

Micro$oft is:

Every Pepsi Tv ad, they attempt to mock Coke at every turn, yet Coke just laughs...they know they are better! Has there ever been a Coke ad that makes fun of Pepsi? Not too many!

Wait....I think Pepsi (Mountian Dew :p ) has an Xbox 360 promotion going on right now, and Coke had a PS2 promotion last year...Funny how that is! :D

So that, what, makes Nintendo Dr. Pepper. . .the one that takes up the least shelf space?

Well, Jupiter right now Pepsi is known as "Canada's Cola", so you never know, maybe the 360 will dominate down here! I am a Coke drinker though.

A more correct analogy would be

MS: Molson Candian

Sony: Labbat Blue

Nintendo: Rickards

Wow, that analogy didn't cross the border very well. What the hell is Rickards? Your analogy might be dead-on correct, but I guess I know squat about Canadian beer.

The American Beer equivalent Videogames analogy:

Sony=Budweiser
MS=Miller
Nintendo=Sierra Nevada Pale Ale

The Sony as Coke analogy works pretty well, after all, they do very little in the way of new things and don't do them well, in the past few years we've had Vanilla, lemon, raspberry and lime coke. Of those, only Vanilla is a sucess.

But if they are taking up the least amount of shelf space then they must be selling really well!
