Ok, since the next-gen of gaming is nearly upon us with the November release of the 360, I'm guessing that some of you will undoubtably be pawning off some of your current systems (if you haven't already) in order to scrape up some extra cash to go towards your new purchase.
My biggest personal pawning regret was pawning off my SNES and my copy of Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo. Let me tell ya, the re-releases of SSF2T just aren't quite as good as the original, and nothing for me beats the SNES controller for this game.
Another regretful pawn was my PS1. I'd love to go back and play FFVII at some point, and maybe have a laugh with Crash Team Racing, but alas, my PS1 is gone, gone, gone.
Other systems I've pawned are: GBColor and 2 standard GBA's.
What games/systems have any of you pawned off that you've regretted doing so?

I never pawn my systems off, they just break down from age and abuse. Oh wait, I pawned my PS1 off. Well it was almost broken already, I sold it really cheap since its lens needed replacing.
I didn't regret it though, since I am able to play PS1 games either on my PS2 or on my PC. FFTactics looks pretty cool on a PC emulator, and in addition you get to use the analogue sticks!

I don't think I've regretted pawning off any systems. It was easy to get rid of PS1, since the PS2 was fully compatible. It was even easier to get rid of DC, since it just wasn't going to have a lot of good games.
I did regret getting rid of all of my PS1 memory cards. I would have played a few more PS1 games if I would have kept it, but it didn't seem worth it to buy another one.
If I have to get rid of my Xbox (especially if it keeps acting funny) I will not regret it.

Good thread Trebor!
Hmmm. Which systems have I pawned over the years? Let me give this a shot.
1. SNES - still own my NES although it doesn't work. May pick up the new release spin-off this fall when it comes out (20 year patent rule expired)
2. Genesis
3. Atari 2600 - recently sold this and 50+ games on Ebay and made a mint :)
4. N64
5. Dreamcast
6. GBA SP
My biggest regret is probably the N64 since my wife and I used to play it so much together. I miss some of those gaming experiences like Beetle Adventure Racing, Super Mario 64, Goldeneye, Mickey's Tetris (don't laugh), along with a few others.
A close second to the Genesis - I loved that system when I was younger.
I'd have put the Dreamcast on this list if it hadn't broken down on me so many times. I actually went through a few systems and numerous copies of games due to breakdowns so I don't miss that part of owing a Dreamcast.

I sold my Snes and thirty plus games so I could by my Glock. While I love that gun, it has taken me five years to rebuild my Snes libary. Strangely enough, I wound up with two copies of Chrono Trigger and I have no idea how that happened. Final Fantasy 3 is still the only game missing from my libary. I should have never sold that game. :(

I regret pawning my one and only television set to get some money for my PS2! Just kidding.
I regret selling my PS1 for an N64, only to end up trading it at EB a couple of years later for a new PS1 again.

That's a bad trade! I loaned a Ps1 for an N64 for a few weeks so I could play Zelda; Zelda blew away ANYTHING on Ps1 at the time--but it was just one game, and after I was done, trying to get my Ps1 back from my friend was a real chore.
Getting rid of my Ps1 was completely painless due to backward compatibility.
I regret selling my SNES; I wasn't even bored of it, I didn't even trade it in to get a new or different game system: I gave it up because I was chasing a piece of ass that didn't like the time I spent with SNES, Beer, bong, and buddies.

ROFL! That is too funny!
My beloved Snes was traded in at my local game store "Microplay" for the Playstation. I originally went there in search of a new game but ended up trading it anyway. I miss that old system lots.
I would have to say that FF7 on PS1 was equally as impressive as Zelda OOT...altough I played OOT tons more!

I never have pawned a system, but I have lost them somehow, I just can't remember how they got lost. And it wasn't until this generation that I owned more than one system at a time.
I don't miss the systems, but I do miss a lot of games.

Naw, I keep the system i have, its too hard to let go, and the price is soo low it doesnt seem right to sel it.
Though my PS1, i highly miss that, it wasnt sold, it was broken down by my cousin. Dear God i keep remembering how mad i was/am about it. 60+ burned games too...Soon my other cousin 'borrowed' some and then all the games, and now they are gone...aww memories. Wanting to strangle my cousin vigrously memories...
