I've gotten to know a lot of people here pretty well over the last few years. Would be nice if I could chat real time every time I log in to make some posts. Yay or Nay?

BTW, I'm drunk and this idea just came to me.

Yeah, no doubt, but I have brought it up before (i think i have a crappy memory) but no one seemed interested.

Then we'd NEVER get any work done.

It's a good idea though. You should post drunk more often.

LOL, that'd be sweet, or we can all just get AIM. Gamer, whats your AIM tag?

We had this at one time over IRC. #VGR. I think it was Shafted who set it up. Anyway, the only person I ever met there was Folken so it didn't take off but considering the overall small userbase of this site, that's not a big surprise.

There aren't enough of us to go around, and besides a lot of us just just post during our "free time" at work.

Um, there's usually a dozen or so members online in the evening/late night. I'm sure at least a handful of them would join a live chat every night while they browse the forums just to shoot the $hit about gaming.

Ever check the time stamps? This site keeps you logged in even when you've long since logged off.

He wants to be able to chat with this particular community, not all of whom have Xbox Live.

I don't have WoW or women and I don't have time for this band of miscreants!

Once the Pimp Dog No1Gamer gets himself another lady friend, he won't be talking to us hardly at all again, so its a moot point! Warcraft and women. Where's the guy supposed to find any time for this rag-tag band of miscreants?

Unless she's an avid gamer and wants to join our little wreched hive of scum and villiany. ;)

Nay. We don't have enough activity around here to justify this. Activity flourishes during the day when people are at work but really slows down during nights and weekends.

Plus its easier to discuss this type of thing with some time to think and respond rather than do so on the fly. Furthermore, I'd hate to miss out on all of your thoughts since I wasn't online at that moment to see them live (more fun to read when I have time as my free-time is usually during nights and weekends when no one else is around).

totally up for the idea.
Is is true practically everyone in america who chats online has AIM?
Heres its all about the MSN. Seriously i met ONE person how has AIM just because his friends in america made him get it.

IRC, yeah go for it, i doubt they are willing to invest ina good chat client anyway, mirc is the cheapest way to go.

Ha ha! I don't plan on getting into another serious relationship for a while. I'll probably just be playing the field for a while. Unless Lara agrees to go on a date with me but she ignored my last post that I asked in. ;)

I come and go a lot. I typically game a less in the summer months because I'm outside doing other stuff. And I've just been busy up to my neck lately. I'm always around somewhere though.

Oh yea, my WoW subscription ran out. Maybe I'll buy another pre-paid card...

Yea, that's what I'm saying. I don't even have an Xbox nor do I plan on ever having one. I spent a lot of time gaming on my friends because I lost that stupid bet to Prince of Darkness last year. Hopefully that situation won't come up again so I can continue to game on my Gamecube the way God intended.

A lot of people log on here in the evenings. If there was a live chat integrated into the website there would be a few of us online talking video games each night. No of course there wouldn't be 20 members online chatting 24/7.

If you saw that a few of your VGR buds were in the chat room one night when you log on to make some posts, would you not join them? Of course you would!
