One of my favorite games of all time looks to be getting a much needed facelift! (http://psp.ign.com/articles/648/648551p1.html)

The DS seems to be the home for unique games, and the PSP looks to be the place all the fun oldschool style games to gather. Though it's not a whole new game I can't say I really care...Landstalker was so awesome I'm willing to look past it's simple remake status and consider it one of the titles I'm looking forward to the most in 2006.

They're remaking Megaman 1 and Megaman X too. That and the two new Guilty Gear games as well as Alpha 3 and Darkstalkers from Capcom makes me want a PSP.

But, I'm still gonna hold out until I find out where exactly Capcom is going to put the rumored Street Fighter 4.

I doubt SF4 show up on the PSP...at least not at first. Since it's one of Capcom's flagship series it'll probably appear on the PS3 before anything else.

The wiser course is to release it simultaneously in order to cut down on advertising. SF4 PsP. . .what a sweet thought.

I never played Landstalkers; are you into the idea of it changing from 2-d to 3D for the PsP? In general, even on PsP, I prefer 2-d for the handhelds.

Well Landstalker was an isometric game, so assuming that it'll have a similar perspective in the 3D version it probably won't be that much different. I'd say that you'll be able to rotate the camera and maybe zoom in and out, but that'll probably be the extent of it.

I don't have much of a problem playing 3D games on the portables so long as they're done well and are easy to control. Like Mercury and Wipeout I don't have a problem with, but I rented Coded Arms and found the controls to be almost impossible to come to terms with. It's all about what works and what doesn't, and for a game like Landstalker, even if it does take a more Zeldaish over the shoulder perspective, a new 3D perspective won't hurt playability much at all.

It's gonna basically control like it's predecessor, but I'm guessing you'll have a rotatable and zoomable camera.
