XBOX 360 Live Titles

Will Madden 360 allow for online multi-player matches? I've assumed all along that it would, until now...

I grabbed a Gamestop catalog (one of the freebies by the register) and noticed a 2-page section dedicated to the 360. It displayed box art for some upcoming titles and I noticed something missing from the Madden cover art - the online piece.

No gold bar across the top with XBOX Live written (like current titles). No XBOX Live in the upper right corner unlike a few other 360 box art covers I've seen where that is included.

If Madden 360 isn't online - I will be PISSED to say the least. Anyone know anything more about this?

I believe all 360 games are at least online-enabled, but I'm not sure if Madden will be playable online. I guess it makes sense that it is, but since EA is trying to have it out by launch, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if playing online is scratched this year to make sure it hits the stores with the 360 launch.

If it is online, I wouldn't expect anything more than the same stuff that's available for Madden for Xbox. I expect EA to start throwing in new online stuff for the Live gamers in Madden '07.

It does seem odd that there's no previews (especially the all-important hands-on) for a game that's coming out in 2 months. I understand that EA doesn't want to step on the current Madden games by talking about the 360 version too early, but they need to start giving out info if they want gamers to ditch their current Maddens for the next-gen version.
