Bout time Capcom decided to release another game in the G&G series. It's been neglected for far too long now.

Sweet. And even sweeter that they're keeping it 2-D. I never did beat Ghosts and Goblins, and I never got the true ending to Super Ghouls and Ghosts on the SNES, since you had to beat the game twice in one sitting to see it. Hopefully, this one will be just as challenging.
And I can't wait to hear the ost for the new game. Super G&G had some of the best music on the SNES, right there with Super Castlevania IV.

It's far more than just hella sweet, Tashi. It's freaky damn hella awesome is what it is.
I've been waiting forever for a proper G&G sequel. Strange that the first place it'd show up would be where I least suspected it.

LOL! Ok. So you got any media? I haven't located any pics. The ign article made it sound like they actually saw some visuals.

No pictures yet (though I do agree that IGN made it seem like they've seen a few), but according to the article it's gonna be shown off at TGS this month.

This game just assured that I will be keeping my PSP. It was just a coupla days ago that I was pondering the idea of selling off my PSP to put for a down payment on the 360, but that's not going to happen now.
I was beginning to doubt that Sony was going to deliver, and while they still might not, I have renewed faith in all the other great third-party devs to whip up some excellent titles that I actually want to play. If they keep them coming with games like this, then the DS just might be in some trouble. But they still have a ways to go before I will be fully convinced that this was a worthwhile purchase.
Bring on the successor to Symphony of the Night!

I'm still liking my PSP. While it doesn't have any must have OMG awesome titles, it does have a collection of what I'd consider good games.
Course with G&G on the horizon this is gonna change. I'd say that the PSP is gonna follow the same path as the DS...it'll probably take a year before it really gets going, but once it does it'll make you glad you bought one.

I feel the same way; It has been out, what, five months and some w(h)ackos are already trading them at a huge less for another launch system? The PsP will start getting stuff; coming soon, Viewtiful Joe looks like a reallyl cool take on that franchise; and I'm hoping Tokobot (november) turns out well. I'm not sure I understand the game, but it looks like some pikmin inspired puzzle solving, but with six robots that follow you around and can be linked in various configurations (like a ladder, or a swing.) I'm going to be really really happy though when it gets a Nippon Icci title, or a version of Culdcept online.
G&G. . . I never played the original; its brutal hard right? This game scares me.

The original G&G might be the hardest game I've ever played.

Oh you should be scared, the G&G series is not only hard as hell but you have to play through them twice to actually beat them. It's kinda cheap, but there's no denying that they're all great fun once you get right down to it...there's an intensity there that games nowadays really lack.

Kthx Slade, u r awesom!
Looks pretty damn awesome. The clip is a little on the dark side, though. I downloaded the trailer from IGN shortly after checking out the one above, and it shows the action off far better.

Thing doesn't work for me for some reason. I've got flash but that loading takes forever and I run out of patience 30 seconds in.
