I live in the UK but i will soon be visiting the USA. I want to pick up a psp while i am there, as it is not yet out here, and i know that it is region free just like the ds.
I was wondering is it legal to do that? For me to buy the only in the usa and bring it back home to uk?
Also would i have to get an adaptor or something for the plug so that it fits the uk sockets.
Also if the games are region free does that mean the movies are too?
What are the pros and cons of this?
Thanks

The pros are that you can play any game from anywhere on your system. I don't know if there are any cons.
I don't see why it would be a problem, since you aren't modding your system to play certain games. As long as you aren't transporting the sticky icky inside your system. You shouldn't have to anyways, I hear the U.K. has some quality buds.
And yes, you would have to get some kind of adapter to plug into your sockets. At least, I know it's that way for the consoles.

He either means weed or those tiny little earplug headphones that come standard with the PSP.
...I think.

Games are region free, but movies are not. At least that's my understanding. And bud is a reference to the seed of a certain plant. :D Pass the duchy on the left hand side...
Ahem... I think adaptors only work if you have dual voltage appliances. So you may need a transformer. The Hertz is different in Europe (50) and America (60) and I think the voltage runs hotter in Europe. So I honestly can't say how that would affect a NA psp. And yes you can buy a psp here and take it home. But you can't re-sell it, at least not commercially. So you're fine.

Well, i found the spec of the adaptor:
Switching Power Supply 100-240v Rating
With Cycles of 50/60 hz
So if i used the power cord from my ps2 and connected it to the adapter it should work
Woohoo. I dont need another adaptor or transformer.
HEHE Thanks Guys.
