You can use it to Fuse stuff?

Yeah, it is used to Fuse Planets (or what Lumines would call "skins").
Indirectly, that is.
Most planet-fusions require a number of Rare Metals. Since they are so hard to come by during normal gameplay, you'll probably need to create them yourself. Which you just did, hey! So... a couple more of those and you'll be able to Fuse a Planet.

Yeah, it takes I think 6 Life and 6 Soul and hundreds of the others to fuse Meteo planet. Maybe something else that's a rare metal also...
I'm glad there's been so much talk about his game lately, because it helped to renew my need to play this game again and again. Nanostray has been beaten and put up. Kirby has been beaten and put up. Wario has become too repetative, so it's put up. Mario 64 is getting close, But for some reason, I want to keep coming back to Meteos. Isn't that what makes a game great?

OK so you can fuse regular metals together to unlock sounds and items like that hammer thing. Then you can also fuse regular metals to form rare metals which you can then use to unlock planets. The thing is that I have already unlocked like 5 or 6 planets, and I don't recall using rare fusions to do so. I thought that I was just using the regular metals. The fusion room is confusing me for some reason.

Depends on the planet.
If it's confusing to you right now (and I've been there, I know it is) my advice would be to not go in there (the Fusion Room) for a while. Just play the game, and stock up on Meteos Elements. Then, after a good while, next time you go in there you'll see that there's a ton of things for you to Fuse; you'll have a lot of choices. And then you'll also be able to see what it takes and compare them. Also, by going in there so early and often, you might be spending your Meteos on things that you could be getting for free - if you know what I mean. ;)
