This is the tactical shooter without the shooting based on an actual US army training sim (by the same developer) fictional conflict so no slaughtering 500 rock throwing Somalis here, could be good if they keep it realistic although the text suggests a bit too much flag waving gung-ho approach, and the US army IS invincible in combat it says so, just as I suspected. :D

My, my... If it's not Ghost Recon 2004 in a new package. ;) It'll be interesting to see what Red Storm will do to counteract and fight for their franchise heavyweight. I personally wouldn't mind seeing a REAL Ghost Recon 2004 put up against FSW... Either way I don't think Tactical shooter fans can lose. I just hope that FSW is as configurable as GR.

Yeah, I know what you mean I think a totally new GR would be unbeatable, but Red Strom launched Raven Shield instead to carry the realistic tactical flag and buried the GR series. I think Raven Shield is top notch tactical stuff but the thing I miss is the outdoor environments from GR and also the military feel, I mean there were tanks in there. Raven Shield feels too much like a urban SWAT team, which is what it is I suppose. :D

Hmm, I don't think Raven Shield compare in any way shape or form to Ghost Recon... The two games are entirely different, not to mention seperate franchises. One is Rainblow 6, the anti-terrorist squad, while the other has you as green berets doing military ops in Ghost Recon. I would say it would be a foolish decision on behalf of RSE to abandon Ghost Recon in favour of the (IMO) less than stellar Raven Shield. I could get into the nuances of why, but only if you ask nicely! LOL ;)
