According to Reuters today, Nintendo has announced a 13% price cut for the DS to $130 from it's current $150. The new price will take effect on August 21, one day before the North American release of 'Nintendogs', which is a super hit in Japan.

Having played the demo, I am sure it will be a hit here as well.

I bet that's to boost sales, as they haven't been doing very well lately. With the realeses of 'Nintendogs' and the price cut, they're sure to gain millions of dollars in sales.
