HA-HA!
Only a moron would quit his or her job to play more games. Unless they are making more money playing games than working, which I really doubt anyone can do at this time. Well, maybe.
I've done all night sessions before, but playing for fifty hours pretty much straight? The klutz was begging for something to happen to his body. I wonder if he was a big boy? I would think that he probably was.
Don't these cyber cafes limit a persons usage? If not, then they should sue so that it is mandatory to limit gamers playing to a few hours a day.

Man, Koreans are serious about their games! 2 or 3 years ago, same kinda thing, a korean gamer died in an internet cafe after a long gaming stint. I think the current casualty's 50 hours is more than the last meat-sack made it.
I don't get it though. Seems like some other factor has to be involved. Methylphenidate? Distillate of Ginsing? I did a 24+hrs lysurgic gaming session while in college, and once upon a time had a job doing industrial floor installatioins during plant closings and worked HARD, I mean jack-hammer slinging hard for more than 50 hours. And didn't die. I don't think I did, anyway.
God, wouldn't that suck to be a ghost and not even know it? How could you ever really hone some top-notch ghostly haunting skills if you didn't realize you were a ghost? And how uncool if all you could do was haunt a message board!

LMFAO!!
But almost seriously, what game are these shmoes playing? I'd like to try it myself and see if I could tempt Hades.
I hope it's not one of those text based games...
And another thing. Why isn't the Korean government trying to shut down the companies that make these games like we would here in the States? Because our government is jacked in the head when it comes to this kind of shtuff. I bet if this happened here, that moms and dads and polititians across America would be all over this like a fly on sh!t.
Damn, I'm brain-dead. How do you spell polition? <-Like that?

There is one guy I know of from my city that was making several hundred thousand dollars a year playing FPS. But he was literally, the best in the world, as he traveled globally and hardly ever lost. He had some company sponsorships and he actually invented some new fangled mouse thingy that he managed to sell and get manufactured. So the money came from prizes, sponorships and his own business. So, it's possible, as videogames are fast becoming caterogized as a sport, or as least competitive enough to draw sponsorship dollars to make it somewhat lucrative for a few.

Damn!! I've made a few hundred bucks playing in tournaments and such, but I could never in a million be good enough to compete globally for mad cash flow. I just can't concentrate on one genre. I have to play all types, thus making it impossible for me to master a certain game type.

I just remembered the guy's name: Jonathan Wendel.

LOL, I remember reading about the first one in the old SW forum actually and I thought that this was the same thing, but apparently not.
