SBS , myself and a few others are now in WOW. If anyone is interested in firing it up we are on the Shadowsong server as night elves.

I am Barzenak a Night Elf Hunter. Just started the game so I have alot to see yet.

But one quick question...why night elves? If anything I'd want to start as an undead character, they were the most fun to play. Depending on how high you and Steve are, like say you still haven't reach 10 yet, then I'd recommend you consider restarting as another character.

...and maybe you should consider starting on a PvP server too.

I've got a couple of characters on Thunderlord, my level 39 rogue and 15 hunter. Even so, I'll be willing to start on a new server since it's been so long since I last played it.

I doubt you'll run out of much to do like you did in GW, in the amount of time I played it I barely saw a quarter of the game. Not only have they added about 4 or 5 new dungeons plus the battlegrounds during the 6 months I've been gone, but they're also gearing up for an expansion in the meantime.

Anyway, I've activated my account and I'm gonna fire up either an undead or human rogue on Shadowsong...I'll see you and Steve around midnight tonight. :D

Well I played the game with Steve and DBS tonight..it was fun as hell, but we're too far apart levelwise at the moment. Worst thing is that they took the server down for maintainence, so I won't be able to level up.

So I figured I'd use this chance to pimp PvP and the undead again. Trust me guys, they're fun as hell to play.

DB, Steve...

I didn't play much today, but when I did I hopped onto my old character on Thunderlord for a few and ended up talking to a bunch of old guildmates I used to run around with way back in the day.

Pretty much as soon as I signed on they put me in the guild, knighted me, and asked me to stick around for a few. I told them that I'm playing with you 2 and they said that you're both more than welcome to swing on by and join up with them if you want.

I will join up with them. Undead?? I still think the best thing is for us all to get some good people than all start over on one pvp server together. For now I am enjoying learning the game on the carebear server and keeping my brother happy as he is never a higher level ...

Believe it or not Bane, as jaded as Mike is with this whole pay to play set up I think he is having fun in WoW. I have to admit I am pleasently surprised myself being jaded as well after years in Asheron's Call this has a fresh feel to it and tons to do. Surpassees GW in everyway as far as rpg content..

Nah, they're not Undead..they're alliance guys. My character there is a Night Elf Rogue like Mike.

See, on one hand playing with you and Mike'll be fun as hell, but on the other I've got a full guild of 181 people on Thunderlord that was really excited to see me back...plus a fully decked out character.

Also Runding, a guy from around here who I know in WoW but can't think of his name on the boards for some reason, is on Thunderlord as well. It's not like you're both so high a level you can't get back to where you were in a couple of days.

...comeon, you know it'll be alot more fun over there. ;)

LOL i tried getting u guys to play WOW a while back and knowone responded.I can probably give it a go in a week or so once this hot weather leaves im finding it hard to sit infront of a computer for more then 10 minutes when its 100 degrees out.I played WOW for about 2 weeks and really liked it but didnt have lots of time to play it.Ill join up in a week or so

I dunno if I like the new honor system...it really puts a damper on my newbie killing.

I went to Stonepeak Mountains to do what I normally do...wait in front of the cow town and start killing level 20's while they run back and forth along the road. Usually I can take a dozen out before they all gang up and start hunting me.

Not now though..now I can't randomly gank and ruin peoples days without taking a hit to my honor. Which means that every lowbie I kill, the harder I'll have to work to get cool stuff.

It's not murder if they come back!

One thing I always love to do that only rogues can do. Once you hit the mid 30's you get flash powder, which makes you go into stealth mode even if you're in the middle of combat. What I'd do is sneak up on a couple of guys, sap one of them so that he couldn't move to help his friend for about 30 seconds, procede to beat the everliving crap out of the unsapped one, then use a flashbomb to disappear...leaving the other guy alive.

They always do the exact same thing. After they become unstunned they'll spin around in circles looking for me...expecting me to attack at any second, then they'll sorta start backing off for a second or two, then haul ass over the hills.

Playing a rogue in WoW is the funnest thing ever.

LOL Great to know what I look forward to! As for me playing this pay-per-play, I feel really dirty. In fact, I told Dave (DBS) the other day, I never really felt that the avatar I was running around as , was really "mine", I felt more as if I was temporarily "leasing" the character.

I got 90 days to play it, and I may play it on and of, but I'm still waiting like you wouldn't believe for NWN2, Dungeon Siege 2, and X3 (assuming it's online).

Again, Blizzard is making 40 million a MONTH from this subscription-based game, there's not WAY they should continue to be continuing to charge these exorbitant fees. I'm still a fan of the game for free, or the sub, not both. So annoying.

You could always get the Blackrock WoW server emulator and host your own. Blizzard isn't doing anything to stop it like SoE did, the only problem is that you have to know what you're doing if you want to host more than a handful of people in a single gameworld.

I am enjoying my hunter to be honest although I do think the Rogue has most the cool ****z in the game.
