View Full Version : 3 Q's: Morrowind
[1] I "earned" a weapon worth 7K. Is there a merchant that can handle a single transaction for 7K, who would pay face value? [Creeper is limited to 5K]
[2] Is it possible to enlist with the Ordinators?
[3] Do all MAJOR skills max out @ 100?

7K? That's nuthin' I Stole a weapon that was worth 17k....yeah....crazy thing is, I found it in Balmora......in the one guard tower near Caus Cosades house, top floor on top of the closet!
I am getting really pissed looking all over the place for a merchant with lots of money. I have items ranging from $4,000 to $20,000 "Each" The most I have seen a merchant carry is about $3,000!

Yes, I too aquired that "weapon" for 17K . Its called the sword of White Woe [makes me wonder...]. Its a great weapon for beginning, I still rely on it @ skill 15.
You can get up to 5K from merchant Creeper in Caldera.
I've heard of another merchant with deep pockets alleged to be off some island aprox east of Vivec.......Ive been island hopping for 20 minutes now w/no luck yet.

The Creeper? is that the little bugger who looks like a gremlin and crows every 5 seconds?
Yeah, I'll be sure to hit him up for some $$$!

[2] Is it possible to enlist with the Ordinators?

Creeper is all you need. Just sell a smaller item worth 2k, then sleep 24 hours, then when you wake up creeper has your 2k item AND 5k, then sell the 7k item buying back the 2k item, sleep another 24, then sell the 2k item. Net gain 7k.
You guys really need to read my FAQ so you don't get stumped like this!
And no, I don't thik you can enlist with Ordinators. I think. Not too sure but I don't ever recall being able to do so.
Jupiter_x, I just located the merchant Mudcrab, hes good for 10K. Let me know if you want directions..or a hint.
While there are numerous gamey tricks to gaining wealth & skills in Morrowind, Id just as soon earn my by exploration since this is my FIRST trip around Vvardenfell.

True, there are other sites to visit for info on Morrowind, but I like asking here!

Could I have a hint? Thanx in advance!
:)
I didn't think anyone still played vanilla Morrowind... I thought everyone had all the merchants they needed in mods by now.

Head south to bottom of map, find the Dwemer ruins.....prepare to island hop.
WARNING! Be mindful of which mudcrabs you kill....they all look the same.
Search for one w/dialogue box.
I've started my third and final Morrowind character, a female high elf who's a pure mage....and a vampire (I ran up to Sheogorad and got her infected at the beginning of the game). She has no fighting skills at all, and no armor, so it's a hard character to play. And because she's a vampire, I've had to pay a lot of money to the speechcraft trainer in Caldera to keep leveling her up with high personality point bonuses. I'm having her do the Telvanni quests, then on to the real reasons I'm doing the character - The Underground and Return to Hell House mods.

I hadn't seen that one , Return to Hell House.
I'm still playing Wizard Island and White Wolf is still sitting unfinished (coudln't finish it since Wizard Island won't let me leave!). Maybe I should get back to my Morrowind game.

Well I guess I have no choice!
I play the Xbox version now. I could not for the life of me, get the F***ing PC version to work properly. So unless I can install those mods on my Xbox? I guess I take Vanilla with whipped cream and those neat sprinkles, with a fat red cherry on top. :D

Sweet, thx for the info.
Funny! That reminds me of something you would see in Zelda!
Heres a Q I couldnt find specific info under general FAQs for Morrowind.
Concerning the Theif Guild Quest "Dwemer Artifacts" Sugar-Lips Habasi asks you to recover some Dwemer artifacts stolen by Ra'Zhid [goblet, bowl and tube].
QUESTION: Can I give Habasi just any Dwemer artifacts, or only those specific three that Ra'Zhid has hidden in chest in Hla Oad? [I've collected 2 of 3 artifacts from other sources so far, maybe these will work?]
You probably need to get those specific items. Here is the ultimate quest walkthrough guide for Morrowind: http://www.uesp.net/morrow/quest/morquest.shtml
I've been playing with my third character, a female high elf vampire in House Telvanni. I'm playing with The Underground and Return to Hell House mods. Talk about a very different game from my other two characters. Hell House is really cool. I've just started Underground, and from what little I've seen, it's massive - a whole game unto itself. both mods add new creatures and other things to the game (you can run into spiders in the sewers and even out in the open), and it's more of a scary goth thing. I'm just playing this character uber - vampire bonuses, selling uber items and captured souls (the sellers in Hell House have 100,000 cash) and training up high in everything. I've done the whole roleplaying thing with my other two characters, I just want to get powerful and enjoy the new mods with this one. The Underground is tough anyway - even the skeletons have more hit points and carry glass swords and shields.
