I have sold many games there, as well as hardware. As a rule, buyers can save a little money, though on a rare-ish title the price can run wild (Rez for PS2, BustAMove 3000 for GC, etc.)

Many of the buyers live in rural areas and cannot get to a retailer very often, so eBay is a main source for games for them.

Beware!!!! I purchased about 6 GBA games on Ebay, from 4 different sellers (Mostly Companies), all in different areas around the world (UK, China, USA etc.) I noticed that none of them were authentic. The Cartridges were a little thicker that my originals, on the back of the cartridges some said "Nintendo" others said "Nintondo" The boxes all seemed glossy, and printing was a little on the fuzzy side. There were no Nintendo Hotline (1-800) numbers. The instruction books were really thin and had no information about game controls, safety, proceedure, story or anything...just some lame dialogue about simple storylines of the game.

The worst part was: I recieved a game called Final Fantasy Dawn of Souls from Ebay and the saves did not work properly. Save slot 1 would erase itself when you shut off the GBA and only Save slot 2 was working properly...so far...I got rid of the game and asked for a replacement and recieved it. The games saved properly for a while but one day the game saves were simply gone???

Beware of what you get off of Ebay. Believe it or not the companies seem to be the scammers and the sellers who are people just like you and me are the honest ones with actual authenic items to sell to you.

Oh yeah, one more thing...stay far away from a company called MP3 world, MP3 Land and Visual land...they sell MP3 players as big as 500mb to 1gig for 99 cents....here is the kicker...yes these players work perfectly apparently....yet they make up the profit in shipping costs. They asked me for $39.99 and $49.99 GBP (Twice that in US and Canadian funds) for shipping...so 2 mp3 players that were supposed to be no more than $2 ended up costing $200.00....yeah...I did not buy these items.

Do you check the seller rating and all that? I also look for clues like "in original box". Sometimes you'll recognize a seller that you've bought from before and are pretty confident you can trust.

Funny, most of these sellers had 97-98% ratings, but after I bid I would check and see the Negative ones and some entries were stating that they were fake or pirated. Mind you these games were only $6-$7 bucks each and they work just fine. The MP3 ordeal? Don't ask....just brutal!

....I was scouting for hard to come by PC games on eBay a few weeks ago & got stung by
a vendor named discount_games_mall. I read vendors feedback & noticed it was 90% positive. however vendor choose to keep feedback "Private". I didnt think much of that till 10 days past & no games were received. I contacted vendor 3 times, no reply. After 2 weeks I decided to contact eBay for help which resulted in an email from vendor afirming "I'll get your $ back asap"....didnt happen. Since then this guy has received 11 negative feedbacks. What a rip! I'll pay more attention to who I deal w/on eBay from now on [first time stung].
