It's been out for awhile (http://files.filefront.com/teaser_01zip/;3852383;/fileinfo.html), but it managed to slip right underneath all our radars.

It's a bit on the short side, but it shows off enough to be really impressive. I was most impressed by just how fluid and realistic it moves...

Looks like Oblivion and STALKER have some definate competition here.

Great...a few good games to look forward to ! I also am ashamed how much I loved Gothic I have yet to really get involved in G2. Guess Ishould work on it somemore..soon.

Also I picked up Swat4 and should have it in my grubby hands soon. Let's try to get a mulitplayer group together for this one.

I always thought Gothic 2 was the better game...you owe it to yourself to pick it up again.

As for multiplayer, I'm gonna reinstall UT2k4 again tonight so I can play the Out Of Hell demo, but if anyone wants to play a game or two just tell me and I'll host a server.

I'm up for another round of UT2K4. Haven't played it in weeks. I'll play Vietcong anytime.

That'll be good. As it turned out I had to leave for a few and missed being able to host for you all. I should be able to do it next Friday evening though, like around 10-11 or so.

Finally got to see the trailer. That was great. The graphics engine is a lot closer to Oblivion's than I expected. Now I have trailers of all the three major games I'm looking forward to this year (Oblivion, Stalker and Gothic 3) and of the three of them, I just can't decide.

Stalker showed the most actual gameplay footage, but it was also the weakest of the three teasers. Oblivion had the most polished one (it has Patrick Stewart!) but Gothic 3's showed some pretty cool things with the engine (even though this was probably a scripted event). All in all this promises to be a GREAT year for PC RPG gaming, which I have to say has been suffering a lot for the past two or three years. It's about time things picked up. We've had Boiling Point as an appetizer so far but it was just that, an appetizer. Let's see how the three main dishes will do.

To me Gothic III is probably the best looking of the bunch. Pirhana Bytes uses HDRI much more realistically than Oblivion does, and it comes the closest I've seen a game come to actually looking photorealistic.

I'll show two screenshots here to show off what I mean. First up is Gothic III, if you look at the trees you'll see that there's some slight blending against the sky in the background...it's subtle, but looks FAR better as a result.

And then there's Oblivion. Awesome looking game in all respects, but Bethesda has fallen in love with the Vaseline In Your Eyes look that overuse of HDR can give you.

And Heah (http://users.chartertn.net/greymatt/obliv01.jpg)

Subtle is bettar!

But that said, Oblivion is probably gonna be coming out this year, while GIII is still at least a year away...and Obv is gonna come with the toolkit just like Morrowind did so it'll be easy to fix later on down the road.
