Need help with Metroid Prime

I need help with the original Metroid Prime. I can't beat the final boss titled, Metroid Prime. Can anyone give me a good strategy or way of beating him? Thanks in advance. :D

Keep fighting him over and over. It took me about a dozen tries to finally beat him. For an actual strategy check gamefaqs.

Metroid Prime is one tough mother @#$%^&! Just keep trying...

First thing to do is keep that power beam charged at all times! Right after you fire it at Metroid Prime hold that button down again and keep firing those charge beams.(Make sure you pay attention to his colour and use the appropriate weapon!) Make use of that lock-on targeting and strafing and jumping side to side while he shoots off his barrage of beams, missles and whatnot.


Oh yeah, watch his pattern, it will take you a few times to beat this thing but keep practicing using those hints I said and you should beat him!

Yea, Metroid Prime is one tough mother fckr. Just try again and again. On hard mode it took me many many many many attempts before I finally defeated that crazed phazon infested metroid. I mean come on! His name is on the cover of the game box! Of course he's going to hand your @$$ to you like nobody's buisness.

Metroid Prime is the toughest boss in any video game ever IMO. He just barely tops the deathstar in the old school arcade star wars game. What would be really bad @$$ is seeing the 2 victors duke it out! X-WING piloted by none other than Luke Skywalker vs. Samus Aran and her little gunship! Ice beam meets light saber! Wow! Then in the loser bracket we could have Metroid Prime vs. the Deathstar! Oh hey!!! So who wins?

Really though I think the Deathstar would defeat Metroid Prime though. Metroid Prime in an X-Wing not sure though. Samus vs. Luke Skywalker is too close to call.
