View Full Version : Xbox Halo Pack?
I found a Halo Xbox package for $399:
Xbox console
2 controllers
Halo game
Halo strategy guide
Xbox DVD Movie palyback kit
6 mo. subsricption to Electronic gaming.
2 "Q"'s:
[1] Hows the price?
[2] From what I understand, the DVD playback kit is for viewing DVD movies via Xbox. Is this option also needed to play Halo, or do you think its just part of the package?

YIKES!
Ok, you can get Xbox for about 150$ give or take, Halo for 50$ more...200$ so far...extra controller 40$...240$...DVD playback kit...30$...270$...Halo Strategy guide?...I dunno, but those usually are 20-30$...300$...6 mo sub to EGM? No way that costs 100$...that's a gip deal that sounds liek it would have been a good value at Xbox launch but not now...AVOID @ ALL COSTS!

Sounds like the person trying to sell this is still living in 2001. Sorry, you'd be better off going to your local EB or even Worst Buy.
DVD Movie playback kit is simply a little receiver you plug into a controller slot and a remote. This allows you to watch DVDs on your Xbox. It has no bearing on playing any Xbox games.
You don't need a Halo strategy guide and you don't need EGM magazine. The internet has all the free info you'll ever need. Or, if you're stuck in Halo, just ask one of us. I've gone through the game 7 times now.
