I got the new Nintendo Power yesterday, and it has a lot of stuff about upcoming DS games. It has just a little from E3 (that's covered in a big way next issue) but there are some very cool screen shots, and best of all, there are new actual release dates. Also, next month the DS will be available in an Electric Blue color.

Nintendogs will be released in August. Trace Memory in September. Advance Wars:Dual Strike in August (this one really looks like a must-have). Rebelstar: Tactical Command this summer. Kirby:Canvas Curse in June (true eye candy). Nanostray this summer.

A potential bummer...no US release for Electroplankton yet, and the new screen shots are to drool over.

But the best news...Meteos is to be released here on June 27, as in less than a month, and it looks like a drop-dead killer puzzle game.

That's awesome news. I may actually pick up this issue of Nintendo power just to look at this DS stuff myself. The best news is that they've moved Advanced Wars from September up to August.

What is this Rebel Star: Tactical Command? Haven't heard of that.

I wish they'd release electroplankton. I don't know what the deal is. Unless I'm mistaken, its already been released in Japan.

Rebel Star is a grid-based tactics game like the original Advance Wars. The new Advance Wars will be significantly different, and will not be grid based, from what I see in the mag.

And, yesterday, after I posted here, I was in a game store where the guys just came back from E3, and they told me that a release date has been set of a US version of Electroplankton.

The best news is that they've moved Advanced Wars from September up to August. That's horrible news. It probably means it wont be online. :(

They are only two games scheduled for online support this year, mario kart and animal crossing.
