Yes, its a pretty sweet card however if you have the money personally I would opt for a ATI Radeon 9800 pro :)

I think that that's the one in the AlienWare box my friend has! Its pretty amazing. It can do anything! It really shines a light on the fact that the CPU is merely a small part of the gaming experience!

Graphics cards make a remarkable difference depending on your set up but to utilize them to thier fullest you need a certain level of performance and processing speed. As I am still getting by one a less than 1 gig processor if I had this card I would still run into some performance issues do to the fact my processor would bottleneck my video card. The card might only improve my gaming experiance say 5% where on a slightly more powerful machine going to this card could reap 30% more performace.

Hopefully soon I will be upgrading to a new machine but for the moment there are no games pulling me to do this..yet !

Some games are more processor-dependant than others. Gothic 2 for example relies fairly heavily on the CPU and if you've got less than a 3Ghz processor (yep, you read that right - 3Ghz) you'll probably be struggling (in certain areas) on full detail. (This comes from one of the designers who posts over at the game forums.)

Anyone aching for the new 64-bit AMD Althalon? I am pretty psyched because I like to put together SAMBA boxen with Linux and Web Server boxen and MySQL boxen and I have 64-bit envy... But if and when I get one, I will totally make it dual-boot so that I can see the games wiz by -- will they wiz or not until they're optimized for 64-bit?

256MB nVIDA GeForce FX 5600se- TV Out+Dvi

I do not think this card is good because the "SE" suffix in the "5600se" means "slow edition", so in fact it is actually slower than a normal 5600! And not to mention 256MB of memory for a average (IMHO) card is overkill too.

I suggest you get a 128 MB Radeon 9600 Pro instead. It is more expensive, but it is way faster than GFX 5600se.
