All you kitties who had I hopes for Nintendo go ahead and weep I just finished watching there Press Conference (I'm a IGN insider) and sucked donkey balls! No Revvy info except that the online would be WIFI oh yeah you can download 20 yrs worth of Nintendo games as well. They spent more time talking about Nintendogs than they did the revolution.

The good stuff apparently link will be a wearwolf? And there is a new MP game come. The biggest suprise? A Pokemon RPG for the GC GO NINTY!

As if the GBA sp didn't already cramp your hands. The only good thing I could say was that SSBM next gen will be online! Oh and Zelda but come on "The Twilight Princess". I don't know who's running shop at nintendo but they need to be fired!

Nintendo press conference sucked because they didn't show enough of the revolution and focused to much on the DS.

Microsoft's press conference sucked because the Xbox 360 looked like ass and it's only six months from launch, plus they got owned by Sony.

All that being said, I've lost a lot of interest in the revoltuion. I thought Nintendo had the opportunity to put the nail in the coffin for MS, and they failed.

Nintendo showed probably go third-party on consoles and stick with thier hand-held whoring ways. I'm sick to death of Nintendo f*cking thier fan base with their stupid policy of keeping everything secret.

At least SSBM will be a online launch title for the Revoltuion and Zelda looked amazing. That's the only positives thing I can say for Nintendo now.

I don't know about sucks, but nintendo needed to step up to the plate and swing for the fences. Instead another fan slanted presentation, hollow talk about kicking ass from the increasingly boring reggie and a bunch of sales stats pimpage. Not a single new IP for revolution was even mentioned. Sony had a separate demo reel for original IPs for the ps3.

Why can't nintendo be honest and admit the cube has been a disaster. You know the price you get for a cube at EB canada, when you trade it in. I got $40 and I thought that was low, its down to $20 canadian now, because they have so many, they don't know what to do with them. You get $35 for a gba sp on trade in.

Nintendo should stick with handhelds, they just can't cut it anymore as a console maker.

There's tons of stuff floating around about the revolution being under-powered. I don't think anyone anticipated Sony doing what they did at this years E3. At the very LEAST they could've annouced third-party support. Like Resident Evil 5, or some Square game... But nothing. I can honestly say, it's looking like a one console future for me.

Maybe I'm over-reacting here, we'll see what third parties do.

The only technical information I saw was that it has an IBM processor called "Broadway" and an ATI chipset called "Hollywood", or some such crap. Not a good sign when they release the cute code names but not their specs.

Wait haven't all of zero games for Rev been shown yet? So why should Nintendo fans be weeping...because of the system's shape?

"Downloading twenty years worth of games?"

Are they going to charge per-game, or are those free downloads?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Oh wait... you're probably serious. :o

Well, let's see... they charged $20 for NES-to-GBA ports... and $30 for SNES-to-GBA remakes... and they take over a year to lower the prices of their GC games - when everybody else - including EA - does so in 6 to 9 months, or less...

...come on, the question isn't if, it's how much.

LIke everything else at the conference very vague at best. 512 MB of on board flash memory is standard, so you'll download to that. Problem is, once you turn off the machine, gone. They showed nothing of the controller, nothing about the games for the system. They mentioned a rehash of FF:CC using wifi. Big deal. Dvd playback was mentioned with some type of internal add on. Their conference was a bust.

This is a system for fans only. Not a single third party was present at their keynote. How pathetic is that? Third parties are the key if NIntendo is to survive in the future. This company just doesn't get it. It looks like third party supporrt for the revolution will be so non-existent, nIntendo will have to rely on their entire library from the last 20 years to prop them up.

This is by far, the worst E3 showing in recent memory for nintendo. Their revolutionary online plans for the DS feature nothing that hasn't been done or implemented by sony or ms. This was a real fizzle. The gameboy micro is for the fans. Its too efffin small, the screen is miniscule. Its for cell phone junkies who want to play nintendo games on a similar sized device along with custom faceplates.

Nintendo will launch last, they'll have virtually nothing for launch and third party offerings will be noteworthy for their absence. I thought they'd show something of note besides the oligatory zelda trailer, but nope, just a big fat goose egg.

QUOTE]

Wait a second, everyone stop smoking that pipe for a while a breath some fresh air for a moment.

U say Nintendo showed more of the DS? Why the heck would they do that? Hmm...well for one Nintendo has 4 systems its trying to balance (GC, GBA, Rev, DS), One of which wont premier until next year (they'll show the games eventually in E3, just cuz they didnt show all of them yet doesnt mean they all a load of crap)

2nd, the other DS is in high heat competition against PSP, they have to show a lot of arsenal against the PSP, to compete.

3rd, maybe their graphics arent as good as PS3, okay stractch that. Rev's graphics are no where near PS3.

So Nintendo has 2 options:

1. Show all the revolution games and people specullating about their console's graphics in the early days of E3, (like people are doing for Xbox 360, laughing at its inferority)
2. OR, keep it the Rev games on the low, until people get their hands on the games to see the potential of the games for themselves.

Course, i havent been keeping up to date on E3 and what exactly Nintendo has shown and hasnt shown.

Flash memory is non volatile meaning it stays there without power to it ;) but yeah I am assuming the flash memory is probably just for rom storage as well as maybe games save storage.

You're probably right, the downloads will be like game save files or at least I would hope so. I"m thinking of DS downloads of game data which vanish once you turn the power off. I think they mentioned something about SD cards.

Well as it stands I personally plan on buying both the revolution and the ps3. I know that the rev will have more of the same and certainly won't appeal probably to anyone but nintendo fans. Really the nintendo conf was just about addressing hardcore nintendo fans wants, ssb online, mario kart online, and the announcement of backwards compatibilty for all 5 systems pretty much made that apparent. But hey that all works for me, I guess I have still just not tired of the same old nintendo equation over the years.

Anyway as far as the ps3, I have no doubt it will be the most powerful despite all the hype and the fact that most of the non interactive demo clips shown were more than likely not realtime. Even if the ps3 doesn't have a game on its launch lineup that I want to play, I am currently working on a list of about 30 games for the ps2, so I will be able to put the system to use until something does come out (although i don't know if i can stand waiting till mid 2k6 to play okami).

Why didn't they show the controller? Duh!

Ps3 is definetly welcome in my collection...I hate to say it but I been having my doubts about Nintendo as of late, I wanted REV to kick ass in the worst way...I mean...Mario Kart online? Super Smash Bros online?...yeah....Neato:rolleyes: ....but...I want to see some KILLER APPS! Its pretty bad when I am find some of 360s apps to be more enticing than Revs.....Halo 3 drool! Who F-ing cares about Pokemon, Mario Tennis or.....ahhhhh! Get with it Nintendo!

PS3? I embrace you!

Rev looks very cool though!

I like the look of all three systems to be honest, far nicer than the styles of last gen!

Sounds vary familar, I told you that Nintendo hate 3rd party developers.

The will be lackluster. All you fanboys thinks Nintendo is the next coming.

Even if Nintendo for some reason has more superior specs than PS3 or Xbox 360. They still need 3rd party support. They screwed themselves to deep.

No Nintendo 20 years or their 1st party titles going to save them now.

LISTEN UP!!!

Mass Market is So Tired of Nintendo Mascots!

No one cares about Mario, Luigi, Princess, Starfox, Pokemon and other Mascots.

LInks is dying of Old Age. The only flagship mascot Nintendo has some leverage is Metroid but it not going to sell consoles.

Nintendo management can spit out all the bull crap about games, innovation, poor economy, recession, terrorism, Drugs, etc. It not go help them and definitely make them looks stupid. Gamecube is not selling because we are in a recession Yet, PS2 and XBox is selling like crazy, PS2 over 75 Million. Xbox 30 million.

ATTN NINTENDO: READ MY LIPS

STOP TELLING GAMES WHAT YOU SHUOLD PLAY. START LISTENING TO THE GAMERS. You are slowely losing fanboys everyday.

Stop with lame excuses.

Nintendo continues to lead the video game industry in innovation. No matter the hardware system, no matter the software title, Nintendo remains on the cutting edge of what’s possible. What Innovation and cutting edge? Sony & Microsoft has everything mentioned in PS2 and Xbox
