Epic Games' Tim Sweeney was on hand to vouch for the PS3, saying it was "easy to program for" and that Epic had received its first PS3 hardware two months ago

Remember PS2 was hard to program. Many people say, it going to hurt PS2.
Guess What? PS2 over 75 million units and hundreds and hundreds of games.
PS3 easy to program plus all the power and accesories. I can imagine amount of games now.

I am extremely dissapointed with Nintendo! But Sony has sold me! I own PS2 and had a PS1, great systems! PS3 has me very excited!
I am not hating on Nintendo, but I think I am through pimping thier stuff for now!
I think I will only be a one console owner this next gen. PS3 to go with my Gamecube while my PS2 gets sold!

I'm not yet sold on any of the three new consoles; still waiting to see a game or two that wows me, and it'll probably take getting my hands on the new systems before I get any enthusiasm.
I'm disapointed in Nintendo's non-showing of the Revolution, so I still have no idea what to think. I'm not that interested. They appear to be doing much more interesting work on the DS anyway.
Ps3 is impressive; and I actually like the backward compatibility. I've been goofing around with Ps1 games lately on Ps2, and I know this is a feature on Ps3 I will use. Still haven't seen a Ps3 title I want yet, but I'm in no hurry to pick up any of these next gen systems this time. Xbox360 is redundant and useless to me; and Revolution is still an unknown factor for me.
If the Revolution is inexpensive I'd be tempted to pick it up even without third party support. I like the idea of downloading past games, I like that my GC libary will play on it. All it will take, really, is something new that is truly cool and original the way Pikmin was last time around. Rev is definitely shooting to be the Nintendo fan's system, and a supplemental system. Ps3 made Xbox360 look obsolete and redundant, but the Revolution looks incomplete and merely supplemental, desirable solely because its different and is a place to play Nintendo games. Makes me wish more than ever they'd just went third party, and would put those "20 years of games" out as a series of "Greatest hits" collections on the Ps3.

For the revy to be a purchase for me, it'll have to be cheap. As far as I can tell, there's no support for HD resolutions such as 720P or 1080P on tap. No hard drive. Online will be primarily a nintendo sponsored initiative. And third party support will be non-existent, and when I say cheap, I mean $200US gamecube launch cheap. Any higher than that, forget it.

You gonna get one at launch? I already broke my 9-12 month rule when I bought a psp... I suppose it depends on what the PS3 launches with but at the moment I'm planning on sticking to my rule, but just in case I'm gonna start putting some cash aside. No doubt it'll be sold in bundles and Sony hasn't hinted at a price yet.
