I realize this is sort of an "old" game to bring up right now, but I just picked up Viewtiful Joe 2 yesterday (and am having a major blast with it.) The used-store I shop at had both Ps2 and GC versions at $14. I know the Ps2 version has Dante unlockable in it, but I've never played Devil May Cry yet, so that wasn't much of a selling point. I went ahead and got the GC version since I already have the original VJ on GC.

But I was curious if anyone has played both, if the Ps2 or GC version is superior in either terms of graphics or control. I like my Wavebird a little better than my Logitech wireless, which was the very biggest reason I chose GC version.

Also, the box and instructions didn't say, but is this progressive scan supported? I guess I could mess around in the settings, but I don't have the component cable for GC (I have it for Ps2.)

Anyway. . .any other thoughts anyone wants to post on this "old" game would be cool. I overlooked VJ2 when it was new, just too busy, but its a damned fine game. Any other "old" games anyone would recommend?

I picked up the gc version for my nephew. EB was blowing it out the door for $10 brand new canadian. Sad, really, this was supposed to be the start of a big series for capcom, and its fizzled badly. Nobody cares about old school gaming.

It is sad, because this game is incredible in so many ways, but especially in the way I most care about: FUN.

Looks really cool too. I think they released a sequel too soon. When the sequel first released, I was like, oh yeah, VJ, and just played the original again. I like the character swapping in the second one. Just a good, straightforward old-school game but with al these great new hi-tech touches. Probably one of the better games this generation really. Weird how the onset of the next gen is already making me feel a little nostalgic about this one.
