So I was travelling back home yesterday, and I am at the Philadelphia International Airport. I get into the line to X-ray the carry-on baggage and for the metal detector. I take the laptop out of my laptop case (as the new rule states), but I forget that I have my Xbox in the other bag, and when they saw that huge, humungous, enormous rectangular box in the Xray.....let's just say they weren't happy.
They rush me over along with the bag, they carefully take the Xbox out and wipe the insides of my bag for traces of chemicals, presumably assuming that this huge piece of hardware could be a bomb. No chemicals found. They take out a special kind of cloth and again wipe the insides of my bag for chemicals. None found. They then wipe the Xbox off for traces of chemicals. Again, none found. After that, they take the Xbox back to the X-ray machine and put it through. It clears the test. Only then am I allowed to take it back and try to fit it in my bag again.
Damn Microsoft for making such a huge piece of hardware. I can tell you that I never had this problem when travelling with my GameCube.
