Get ready for numerous Good, Bad, Shocks, and WT.....

Predictions.

Tons of Good News for Sony for PS2, PS3 and PSP, exclusives, and first before competitors. Exclusives and 3rd Party.

Tons of Good News for Microsoft for Xbox, Xbox 360, exclusives, and first before competitors. Exclusives and 3rd Party

Only bad news for Sony would be titles going to Microsoft exclusively or Sony First.

Only bad news for Microsoft would be titles going to Sony First or Exclusives

Only Good News for Nintendo, New Flagship Mascot Upgrades with upgrades in graphics, gameplays and technology. Another Link, Another Metroid etc.

The other good news, games will continue to be multiplatform so Nintendo will get some big name 3rd titles simultaneouls or after the fact with Sony and Microsoft.

Nintendo Bad News, 3rd Party developers will be leaving DS for PSP and maybe secret Microsoft game portable. Some will increase game development for Nokia and definitely the cell phones.

Nintendo Bad News, Revoulution will get promises for 3rd party support but only promises like the Gamecube. More 3rd parties will abandon Nintendo Revolution.

I just want more coverage on the games I'm interested in for the current gen systems.

As of now, I plan on getting 2 next gen systems (to keep my multiplatform gamer status), but I wouldn't be surprised if I become disappointed in one of those systems after E3.

I'm not sure I'd write off the DS. . .Third Parties just need to make some good games that make use of the system. I do see the temptation for third parties on the PsP. . .they can dump unoriginal genre crap on there and still have it sell.

Looks very much like Nintendogs is the kind of App I predicted:

The revolution is the wildcard in this scenario. It could be a complete fizzle or it could upstart and kick the hell out of MS and their xbox 360.

You know what sony is going to do with the ps3 based on the psp. Stress multi-media functionality and raw power and bring the hardware in at a price point not possible by their competitiors. The cell will only get more powerful as this next gen evolves and developers utilize its potential. Even now, we're seeing the emergence of physics based processors which handle only the physics of a game. With the cell, a Processing element can be used to handle similar functions.

The revy will use the same exact two parties for its cpu and gpu and nintendo by virtue of having worked with these two parties for a while, will likely be able to tune the revy for more overall performance than the 360. If nintendo delivers on an innovative but at the same time, practical control system, it could swing not only players but developers as well.

Good ol MS will be caught in a pincer attack between the ps3's raw power, wide software support and marketing muscle and nintendo's still powerful console with unique control features and nintendo branded software. No wonder MS is launching first, it may be the only advantage they have this entire next gen.
