Has anyone been looking out for th enew Nokia N-Gage? Looks like GBA finally has A competitor, albeit a small competitor. Anyway check it out here at http://Ngage.ign.com ! They have FAQs and previews of games coming out for it.
Peace and chicken grease! And keep rawkin' for the kiddies!

Sorry, but this thing is going to flop hard. Even Nokia admitted that they don't have high forecasts in the future, a report that sent stocks down for one day last week.
You want true competition? Wait for Sony's handheld.

I would be damned if this actually succeeds. Think about it. A cell phone-handheld combination that cost 300 bucks. The games are 30 bucks and service plan is sold separately. You can buy a phone with service plan and a gameboy sp with that kinda of money with some extra left. Either Norkia is run by mad men or a bunch out of control monkeys.

I saw a working model at EB in Providence, RI. The store worker was playing a crappy tomb raider game. It looked VERY good. If it comes down to $125, I'll be all over it. I just can't justify $200 for another console right now, hand-held or not.

I saw one today in our local gamestation store here in merry ole England, however you think your prices are bad???
They are planning to retail them here for £230 ($381.93) or so! Unknown prices on the games though since the official launch is weeks away yet.
Yea, the cost for that thing is insane, plus I saw how you have to put in the games, Yuck. The games do look good, and the wireless head to head play sounds pretty cool, but that gamer instinct tells that this thing is just a waste of time, and money.

i cant believe your all into that thing, it is the worst thing to happen, it is NOT a Competitor for the gba, infact it is a grade f catastrophy, it has no new games, which arent out on any other console, and it has revamps of older games, if u want to see a competitor, then wait for sonys psp!

Gameboy is the undisputed king of the Handhelds. Many have opposed it over the years, and many have failed in an attempt to unseat it.The PSP and the N-Gage will be two more hopefuls that'll be added to that long list of failures straight to the videogame graveyard.Take it to the bank.

I dont know about that. I can under stand N-gage flopping but PSP? THe games that are going to appear on the PSP are games that appeared on the Playstation (so i heard). Since Playstation was the all-time-most sold console of all time, wouldnt that mean it would have a HUGE fan base? Who doesnt want to play metal gear solid on a hand held? And if Nintendo was to unleash a new handheld console in the market, they are obviously going to be porting games from the N64. WE all know how the previous years turned out between Nintendo and Sony. This is not to say new games wont be comming out for both hand-held consoles...Maybe, just Maybe, history will repeat itself.
*Keep in mind my argument is ONLY relevant if PSP actually comes out with identical specs of the original Playstaion. Does it by any chance?

Ok folks,
regardless of the games and their availability/superiority issues, can I add my 2 cents about this ,erm thingie?
It is supposed to be a phone too.
Right?
BUT,the microphone and speaker are mounted on the narrow side of this thing!
So,if you try to use it as a phone, you'll look like someone holding a slice of pizza, vertically to his/her head!
Worse,
from far away, whoever uses it will seem as if he is pulling an enormous elephant ear...............................
How long did they have to design/research that thing?
The duration af a lunch break, probably.
