Castlevania DS
Harvest Moon DS

Shin Megami Tensei DS

Lost in Blue (Survival RPG about two characters lost and trying to survive
on a deserted island.)—Konami
Metroid Pinball

And of course the ever popular franchises Mario Kart and an original Zelda game ( yet to be unveiled.)

I love the DS: it is two welll lit and interacting screens, its touch interface, its voice recognintion, its wi-fi , even the originlity and fun of games like Youshi Touch n Go that get called "tech demos." So it's a little "Q-birt" Anyone gaming since PONG hit the market will KNOW why this is top notch game design. Guys if you own, or want to own a DS, its more than just the titles above or the backward compativility. You WILL have to wait for the inevitable delay. You will be on a system that's "not commercial mainstreem COOL."

Any explorer, anytime, anywhere in history that 's inserted himself into our oral and written hisotry did so by being a visionary. The DS, for all its pokiness in getting the software out, IS originlity unlike anything else out there.

If the game Civilization was ever released for DS I'd pick up a DS the day it came out. That game is not only the best ever developed, but it would be well suited for the DSs capabilities.

I just read at Reuters that US sales of the PSP were very good, but not the blowout many people expected. They said that smaller retailers have sold out of the machines, but Walmart and other big outlets still have them available. In fact, of 150 outlets surveyed at random, more than 100 still had units.

The DS, on the other hand sold out within a day or so, but here it is more than four months later, and games for the thing are scarce as hell. And they look to remain so for a while.

You can bet that four months from now that there will be a lot more PSP titles available than there are now for the DS.

Even more disturbing is the feeling that we are going to see lots of older, perhaps slightly reworked ports, of full size console games. This, IMO, sucks.

It's a damned shame that the DS has all these innovative features, but few developers are willing to take a risk at using them. I think Nintendo has the overall best record for game hardware and innovation of all the manufacturers, but innovation in hardware alone doesn't get it.

I did see one new DS title on the shelf, a frikkin' movie port of Robots. I hate movie based games. Most of the time, they are a lame attempt to cash in on a popular theater title with suck ass gameplay. Aunt Betsy will buy the game for her nephew because the movie ads looked so cute, that kind of thing.

Well, maybe I'll just go out and get a PSP since they are available. The wife likes the idea of watching movies on the thing after all, and we haven't seen Spiderman 2 yet...
