Well at least for a while. My Live account expired and to revalidate my account I need to give them the last four digits of the credit card used. Well that was a visa check card that changes almost every year, so now I can't get Live up and running again. I guess I could start a new account and pick a new gamer tag (That would suck) or I could call those bozos up and try to clear things up that way. Nonetheless this sucks.

That does suck - there's so many great XBL games coming out right now. Chaos Theory... Doom 3... Raze's Hell... maaaan.

But I kind of know what you're going thru; I did the same thing with my check card: I forgot to update my account info on my Xbox dashboard when I "changed" my check card too. I forget exactly how it got resolved but I do know that it involved calling up Xbox Customer Service - and that it was all resolved rather painlessly. I also recall that XB CS was incredibly nice, freindly, supportive, knowledgeable, decisive, patient... the whole bit. I can't say enough positive things about the experience, really.

I hope the Customer Service is nice, because otherwise I would have to create a new user name. I would have to remember all who were on my friends list. Creating a new user name by itself isn';t such a bad thing.

I've had to use XBOX's customer service phone number a few times and have been very pleased with the results. MSN has great customer service. Those folks are knowledgable and helpful open 24-7.

I even keep my subscription to MSN ISP based on my positive customer service experiences.

They hopefully can help you with the last 4 digit issue. As an alternative, have you tried calling your bank to see if they could give you that info? I'm sure they'd have it.

Good luck - lots of great online games out now and coming soon (Doom 3, UC 2, Conker, Forza, Ghost Recon 2).

If & when you get back online, look me up - FIVEski.
