Searching though the local thrift store today, they had a ton of oldies such as Return to Zork and the complete ultima series, I brought the ultima series cd, it was mint condition and cost $2
Anyone here really go back and play really old games? I often find myself wanting to see some of the games I missed when I was a console gamer only in the 90's. I just plain don't have the time and although this is one of my fav hobbies I do eat up alot of time gaming.
I recently felt like reloading the original Doom. It was so intense when I first got into it. Sometimes I think the old games make you feel alittle younger too as it takes you back. OK...I am dating myself

I can't stand playing some of the older games anymore. I have the Ultima Collection too, and I tried playing it, I almost barfed my innards when I loaded up Ultima 4 again.
Doom had really intense gameplay. That's what made it fun. So different from the new Doom which feels like a cheap Halflife ripoff.
