Could this be a Deus Ex clone? Recently released for Xbox & PS2 [soon to come mid march for PC] this FPS may have you making comparisons to DE in regards to the cyberpunk culture, some stealth requirements & familiar arsenal. The list of likenesses contiune between games: similar augmentations that when used drains your bio-energy reserves> disabling camera feeds> hacking> turret manipulation> variety of grenades & their effect [remember EMP grenades, which serve not only to distrupt electronic devices, but also damage your systems if you are too close to the detonation?].
Level-layout gives me optimisim that this isnt another shooter on rails. Indications are that environments will allow the player to use a variety of mechanics to create new experiences and multiple solutions to gameplay situations. This, & the use of augmentations and gadgetry should yield in multiple player paths. [perhaps Im being too optimistic].
Sadly, what has been watered down in Project: Snowblind is the rpg element found in Deus Ex [at least when compared to the first DE]. Hopefully the stealth required missions in P:S will outweigh the run 'n gun commonalty found in many shooters.
Heres a link for P:S site>http://www.projectsnowblind.com/main.html
Any first impressions/anticipations here?
