I though someone might find this amusing (especially the detractors.)
Nintendo appears to have placed its design process and intentions for the DS right there in the opening sequence for Warioware touched.
Wario has stolen two gaming machines, a GBA and a GBA-SP. Then he trips over a rock and they both fall into an open manhole. Then, this angel-looking guy rises up out of the manhole with a DS, which Wario steals. (Hey, I've been saying the DS is wide like the GBA, but clamshell and lit like the SP.)
After messing with the DS for a few minutes Wario (who as a game designer is a barely disguised representation of Nintendo's Id) gets these wild dollar signs in his eyes and says "with two screens I can make twice the money."
So there you have it, both the design and the reason for the systems existence.
But if they want to make double the dollars, they really need to start doubling the pace of their DS game release schedule.
Bring on the Animal Crossing. Bring on the Advance Wars! Bring on the Shin Megami Tensei!!! Any RPG. . . . arggggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! I'm tired of poking at teen girls, wiping up snot, and peeing on things (I kid you not). The DS can do so much better than this.

I was actually thinking quite the same thing from the opening clip :D funny how he passes on the GBA altogether. Anyway in regards to the wario post I think Wario touched runs circles around Feel the magic :D I love the toys and the instruments you get :D and the mini games are way more varied and woohooo they gave me a bowling mini game. Also I might add to anyone buying this game if you don't already have a screen protector you best better get one because it has way more screen grinding than even FtM.

Yes. Screen protectors. This game is a total blast; Nintendo has a great sense of humor, especially that ironic and self-deprecating opening sequence.

Have you guys checked out Another Code from nintendo. It's gotten very good reviews in japan and is about the only game on the DS I've seen so far that appears to be something more than just a bunch of minigames.

I don't think this is insider material.

I'd seen some screenshots awhile back when it was still being called just "Another" rather than the full title "Another Code: The Two Memories." Lack of information was why I quit listing at as an upcoming anticipated title, but I've been very curious. . .I haven't seen a graphical style like this before from Nintendo.
Do you anything about how the game actually plays, or is structured? I thought from early screens it might be an interactive adventure, a little like Myst, but not so linear and lame as the DS text game Sprung. I had no idea it was ready for Japanese release already; I hope that the lack of a US announcement doesn't mean they aren't bringing it over here. I wonder if the game is culture-centric enough that nintendo thinks it will confuse its kitty US fans  God, they'd better bring this over. It doesn't look playable as an import, with all that text.
Watching that videoclip you linked to, its hard to tell how the game plays; there were multiple types of shots; the bottom screen as a top down view with a character running around; lots of full screen animated stuff with interactive buttons; a camera button icon, clearly lots of puzzle solving. . .it even appeared you were using the touch screen to play a piano. Between the graphical style, and the dark atmospheric music, this looks like a real departure for Nintendo.

You now know everything I know about Another Code. Anything coming from nintendo that doesn't have mario, wario, yoshi, peach, link, zelda, samus or some pokemon critter in it gets two thumbs up from the waco kid.
