I have my review that I want to post here but due to the current word cap, I can't yet... but here's a preview for those that are interested...
Netherworld Games (http://members.rogers.com/mandjlewis/index.htm). Click on the review on the homepage, or navigate the index.
Or click here (http://members.rogers.com/mandjlewis/reviews/a/ageofwonders.dwt) for the direct link to the review and pics.
Give me some feedback, I'd like to hear it.
I'm pretty much sold. The tiny graphics were the only thing that turned me off the original. Man, it was like watching an ant farm! But the gameplay in the original was terrific.

Did you read my review? What did you think? Oh, and I am SERIOUSLY hooked to this version of the game. I can't decide if at times I am playing Sim City, Civilization, or an RPG... Just the second map in Julia's Campaign has offered me 15+ hours... On Easy, it's such a relaxed build-as-you-explore experience that it's not so much a strategy game, rather more like a manage the realm while you search out fame and fortune RPG. However, crank the difficulty to even Normal, and I'm sure things would be WAY different.

I have SM and i'm a huge fan of the series and Sm...after a shaky start that required some urgent patches is now starting to become the definative age of wonders game, however I only play multi-player SM and I'm also a mapper :-p I've made some great maps for it.
