Is it true that there are no patches for the American (Atari) version of Gothic 2?

Not that I'm aware of, but then again the last German patch is the version used for the US version.

I never had any problems with the game, it ran like a dream from beginning to end. But I remember Steve saying that he had random crashes when he played it on his system....so the best I can tell you is that it might run great for you or it might not.

I had some problems with it, but a few visits to the official forums ironed most of them out.

No patches to my knowledge, the game plays perfectly though. I've not encountered any problems whatsoever, but I'm not done with the game yet.

Now I know what some of you guys mean about the dialogue. In the opening conversation, I pictured two guys standing at a microphone holding scripts, one guy smoking a cigarette between lines while the other was drinking a beer, LOL!

I downloaded Night of the Raven way back when the English subtitle project was released. Since it was a fansub it didn't replace all the new German voice acting added to the game so I got to check it out...and it sounded quite a bit better in places.

No patch for the English version is suppose to be needed.
