Well, totally depends on what you haven't played, and what your system looks like right now.
We could say anything from Kotor to Gothic to Diablo but without any more to go on we're just shooting in the dark.
Low system requirements? Check out StrategyFirst for Disciples 2. This TBS will run on P2, 233mhz.

Also, Battlezone 2 is a cool blend of RPG/shooter/strategy that has low end system requirments.

I can recommend you a really nice rpg with very low system specs and in my eyes 'is' better than Diablo and Diablo 2, the only problem would be to actually find a copy of it, the game is called 'Darkstone' its a sweet game, has good single and multiplayer modes.

What type of rpgs do you like exactly? Turn Based or Realtime ones?
Re: Darkstone RPG, it is available @ Amazon for $10.......... [jewel case only though].

Eh, Battlezone is way loads better than its successor, plus it's sure to run on nearly anything running these days; however, it's NOT an RPG in any way, shape, or form.
I would suggest Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Divine Divinity, Fallout, Jagged Alliance 2, and other games made around those times (97-02). Various sites around the net offer archived reviews by Genre sorted by Year... Underdogs for one. I don't think this site does that though. Check the review section to make sure though.

My young Padawan, these are among the greatest games ever made, and all will run on any machine capable of handling Windows XP. They're RPGs or pseudo-RPGs, or at least offer something interesting and intelligent (as opposed to a simple action game).
Thief
Thief 2
System Shock 2
Deus Ex
Fallout
Fallout 2
Jagged Alliance 2
The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind
Baldur's Gate
Baldur's Gate 2
Now that we've given you the titles, you can go research any or all of them on any games site. We're not going to do ALL the work for you.
Yo might want to check your keyboard. The font suddenly went bold when you typed in Morrowind. ;)
Now I know you want to push your favorite RPG, but from the sound of the guy's post, he might be on a P3 800, and Morrowind runs like a hog even on a good system. Of course, he could look at it as the Morrowind Photo Gallery. :D

My keyboard often does that. Pure joy oozes through my fingers when typing Morrowind.
The game came out in 2002. Any machine bought in the last three years should easily be able to run Morrowind as well as Morrowind is capable of running, which as you said is basically like a hog, but it's what the rest of us managed to tolerate. I initially was running Morrowind with a 900MHz, Geforce2 GTS, 256mb RAM machine. It wasn't great, but... meh, it wasn't great. Upgraded to videocard to a 128mb Radeon 9000 Pro and I was fine. By the way, that same 900MHz, Radeon 9000 machine now runs Unreal Tournament 2004, Star Wars Battlefront, and Warcraft 3 very nicely. Good for LAN parties.
He didn't give his system specs ("not l33t" isn't exactly a technical summary), so I listed my favourite games from yesteryear that fit his description and he can do the research to see if his machine will run them. I mean if he has a 2.4ghz machine and loads up Thief for the first time, he'll probably be scared away by the graphics. I know you've been immersed in Thief fanmissions for the last while, but take a step back and look at it with an objective eye, and we can both agree that the game looks like ass.

You know, this is the first time I've played T1 and T2 fan missions simultaneously. Now T2 looks better than T1 technically, since the textures are more detailed and all, but there is something weird-cool about T1 that gets lost in T2. It's hard to describe. It's just that T2 has a bland mediocre look like a Tomb Raider game, while T1 can look real funky and surreal, especially in FMs by someone with an eye for detail.

Yeah, I prefer the look in Thief over any in the series personally. I always thought that Thief reminded me of Quake, what with the darker colour palette.

It wasn't so dark as it was grainy and worn looking. But yeah, Thief 1 is still the best in the series...on looks and gameplay.
So... is it just me or do the starters of these kinds of threads never reply? This happens a few times every month--a new member with a scant handful of posts will come along and request game recommendations. We trot out the usual suspects dependent on taste and/or system requirements, and the original poster is never seen or heard from again.
My bet is it's the same guy every time, and he's just spamming all the different game message boards on the internet to collect the ultimate list of games of all time ever... for... SOME NEFARIOUS PURPOSE WE KNOW NOT WHAT!!!
So 'Jizlam', if that really is your name, anything to say for yourself?

Yeah Moya, that's why I'm never the first to jump on these threads, and I generally end up responding to you guys instead. Keep in mind, I have been propositioned to "work" at other sites in order to propagate conversations on dead boards, even if it means cutting and pasting from other sites... Unless the pay is right, I won't bother with that either.
There's two things I never answer first anymore on these boards... What's the best game?, and Is my computer fast/good enough, or what card should I buy?

....or maybe its one of VGR's own, you never know....
Is this your way of saying that Jizlam is your alt-nick?

Or maybe yours!
Seriously, whatever the case here maybe, I think it only common courtesy for thread starters to eventually respond to the efforts of those who reply in kind. ;)
