There's a 680mb demo available here. Unzipped it's 1.4gb and it's only one mission. I tried it on the weekend, it was okay, really nice graphics and clearly high production values. Lots of full-motion video and nifty effects.
The game itself seems to emphasize flash and style over gameplay and strategy. But that was true of the Command & Conquer series, hell it's true of nearly every RTS, so I suppose this game is as good as its peers. It definitely stands up well against C&C Generals (which it clearly is trying to copy). Atari is obviously trying to start a big-name military RTS series along the C&C lines, and they'll probably succeed given how pissed C&C fans are at EA.
