Anyone know of a hot deal on Klingon Academy?
I don't know how many people will find this useful, but if you live in the UK (or Europe) then you could do worse than checking out www.play.com
They often feature big upcoming games for pre-order at reduced prices. For instance, I pre-ordered UT2004 for £17.99. Current big pre-order is City of Heroes for £17.99 (and, before you all say it's been out for ages, not on this side of the Pond it hasn't!).
They also do a 'Hot Pick' every so often for a massively discounted price. I got PoP:Sands of Time a while back for £9.99 (back when it was retailing everywhere else for at least £20). Current Hot Pick is 'Anarchy Online: Alien Invasion' for £4.99. I suppose that's only hot if you're into AO, but give it another few days and they may have a better title up there.

Looks like there's not too many people concerned with pricing out there based on the inactiveness of this thread. Oh, well.
To anyone interested I saw FullSpectrum Warrior for the PC at Walmart for $19.99 yesterday. I just had to snag it up especially when its still $39.99 everywhere else I looked. I figured the pricing should be the same across the USofA.

How do you figure that? Could be there's just not enough deals to report on right now. Which is what I think it is.
Besides, these (this and the one in GD-Consoles Forum) were never intended to be all yippity-yappity anyway. I mean, if great deals and bargain-basement prices were so prevalent, there'd be no need to report on them on whatsoever.
I've seen some good deals over the past few months, boy. Diablo for 1.99... Half-Life Platinum Collection (or whatever it's called) for 9.99... it's too bad that we didn't have this thread up and running at that time tho'. I wanted to tell people - but I didn't know where to put it.

As with Unreal Tournament: The Awakening (mentioned above), GameStop has put their boxes of Morrowind GOTY Edition (the ones that include full versions of the Tribunal and Bloodmoon expansions) in the bargain bin. With two stickers affixed to the boxes. One that says "$29.99", while the other reads "50% Off". ;)

those are some cheap prices. too bad i dont use credit cards, and if i wanted to i couldnt, my credit is so bad, blockbuster turns me down for a card (im not lying lol). yet crackheads who change address and have no credit history, good OR bad, get blockbuster cards. hmm.. ah well.
speaking of bargains... shameless plug... im trying to open a site for pc games only, which will only feature 'budget priced' games. games $20 or less. its a pretty new concept, i've seen no other site like it, except for a few amateur dead sites out there that looked like 12 year olds made them lol. but im working on the site and everyone i've showed it to via screenshots, said it looks like a site they'd definitely love to check out when it goes online. my inspiration to open it, believe it or not, was this game site! so i mention and give credit to videogamereview.com quite a bit on the site i've got coming.
site isnt up, no URL... may be another month, dont know, im the only one working on the site for now. however i did get the dead, empty message board up lol. but im not gonna throw a link to it, it's pointless unless the site is up, too.
so does anyone in this thread think such a site im opening is actually worth it? the site includes all budget games that came out for $20, and games that have lowered in price to $20 or less. example, if/when doom3 goes down to 20 bucks IN STORES, i will add a review for it to the site. other games that come out AS $20 budget games, are naturally on the site. the site is intended to get people into 'cheaper games' you might otherwise have never even looked twice at in a walmart lol.
its pretty hard work. i'd like some people to tell me what they think about the idea. i've seen it done no where else online, and wont say much more about it (last time i did that with a site, told lots about it on a forum, some younger guy snatched the idea and ran with it LOL, i'd rather not any competition until i actually GET it online heh.)
Thief 3 :Deadly Shadows; $10- gogamer.

I actually think that's an amazing idea. There are many old games that I would love to play, but I just don't know where to find them, and this site would help immensely.
Ex: Does anyone know where I can get a cheap copy of NOLF?

I've reported this post to the mods. What they are advertising is against WOW code of conduct. The fact that videogame review allows IGE as a sponsored link is perplexing enough to me.

I picked up Boiling Point at GameStop for $5 and Area 51 (I know! I've read the reviews!) for $5 at EB.
Sadly my good fortune seems to have something to do with the fact that both of these stores are on their way to phasing out PC games:mad:
