Gamespot has a hands-on preview (http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/fear/preview_6115920.html) of Monolith's F.E.A.R. I believe it's the first, others have just been based on the movie that was circulated last year.

Unforunately the preview doesn't say much. Not the best writing I've ever seen at Gamespot. They were allowed to play through the same section of game that's featured in the demo video, so nothing new was revealed. The preview did, however, confirm that the slow-motion-time effect will be handled almost exactly like Max Payne: it's governed by a meter that slowly recharges.

The game also has a release date set for June 7. And you have to admit that these screenshots are pretty frickin' awesome. Monolith is a proven company in my books, I'm optimistic about this one.

Both of them look pretty cartoony to me, to be honest. I have no idea what's going on in the second one.
