I recently received the OXM that had the playable demo for Conker: Live and Reloaded. When I first started playing I kept getting killed cause I didn't know where to go and what to do. Finally I caught up with someone who looked like somewhat of a sarge, and things got going, from my pespective this game is basically a run and gun with a few extra features to spice things up, one being the crude humour and lots of cursing, which some people may enjoy more than others, and the fact that you play as a squirrel and your enemies are the Tediz of course.
Nevertheless I got through the demo pretty quickly and I have to say that the lighting effects especially impressed me, and it was pretty fun too.

Well, I have played the demo, it is pretty good. Hopefully online will be pretty good. But basically, all these games, Conker, R&C, J&D, are no better than Metal Arms Glitch. I guess Metal Arms wasn't popular because it was multiplatform.
But yeah, Conker looks good so far.

That level on the demo is run and gun, but that level is not at all indicative of the whole game. That level is one of most frantic levels, and it is absolutely the most violent. I also think that it's one of the hardest levels - but the whole game is hard - in a lot of different ways. You talked about not knowing what you were supposed to be doing... well that's 70% of Conker. I'll bet you a million dollars that you cannot finish the game without help; it is impossible without a walkthrough. And as far as that goes, that level on the demo is straight up - it's just mostly a lot of trial and error.
Conker is considered to be a platformer by some, but I do not think so. And it's definitely not a shooter either, though there is some of that. (The multi-player, on the other hand, is definitely a shooter however.) What Conker is, is a challenging adventure game with *bleep* loads of variety, character, tough bosses, and even tougher puzzles. It's definitely crude, it's definitely graphic (I've come close to hurling a number of times, I crap you negative), and it's definitely a "mature" game - but... is there really that much swearing? I swear, I don't hear it.
And you think the game looks good... next time listen to it. And just wait until you hear the rest of it. I put the original N64 game up there with the two Halos (with regards to sound). Seriously - the N64 game! I cannot wait to hear it remade!
