Wouldn't you love to see that game announced? What about WarCraft? PC has been the ONLY viable platform for Real-Time-Strategy games. . . UNTIL now. The DS's unique feature set would make RTS games like StarCraft not only possible, but possibly the best genre of games ON a handheld. But Nintendo appears to have no idea what to do with this amazing machine it has made, and it may not occur to Blizzard what an opportunity they have to make the best game available on the DS.

I have started a thread on the battle.net forums. If you aren't already on there, use the CD key and account you have from any Blizzard game and either post in my thread in the "Suggestions" forum, or start another thread. It never hurts to let these companies know what we gamers want, and I think they actually read their suggestions forum. Here is my post at the Blizzard forums. Please help and post, too.

Real Time Strategy games have never worked well at all on any other system except PC--forget about consoles or handhelds. But I picked up the Nintendo DS and my head is swimming with the possibilities this system presents for RTS games, especially Star Craft, because of its older technology, should be easier to convert to a DS version.

What makes the Nintendo DS so perfect is the dual screen and touch interface. Console versions of RTS games are so bad because you just can't navigate menus/maps well with a stick or thumb pad. But with the DS, the there are a number of ways you could implement an RTS. . . primarily the touch screen is perfect for instructions, relocating the map, drawing patrol routes, grouping units, etc.

Not to mention the DS has wireless(or wi-fi?) capabilities that could be implemented for multi-player or online via-handheld. Games like Advance Wars demonstrate a market for strategic/tactical games, and no one does strategy like Blizzard. You bring Star Craft of War Craft to the DS, advertise in PC mags, and you WILL squeeze even more money and play out of these popular series.

It would be dissapointing for the first truly unique and wide-open pieces of hardware to not get these blizzard games. It is clear Nintendo has no idea what to do with this great system it has created (Mario 64 puh-leeze.) So please Blizzard, take up the slack. You WILL be rewarded.
