This was just too good not to share it with you guys. Anyone ever see Bill Hicks, the comedian who died in the early 90's at the age 32 from pancreatic cancer? He was just on the verge of hitting the big time when he died, and it was a real loss. This guy is one of the most funny, intelligent, socially conscious comedians to ever walk the earth.
And for over a decade there hasn't been anything but CD recordings and some bootlegs available in the US (Hicks, a Texan, was huge with the British, but not so big with the lower IQ prudes on this side of the pond.)
If you are a fan, or just curious, the Bill Hicks live DvD released today is available for $12 at Best Buy and contains THREE different live performances, as well as a 45 minute documentary on Hicks, featuring the commentary of his peers.
This is a big deal. We lost a truly great man way too soon, and its about damn time we got a DvD release so people can finally see why so many comedians site Bill Hicks as a major influence.
