First, I am hunting for a XBOX game to play with my little brother. So it needs to be a game that doesn't have bad language or killing humans. Having said that, I was thinking about Mech Assault, for two player, and I noticed the rating Teen said it had gore and blood... which didn't make sense for a mech game. Any idea why it got that rating (blood and gore). Do the mechs kill humans in it?
Second, if Mech Assault is out of the question are there any other mech style games that have a good two player mode... or any game of any genre with a good co-op mode (or at least two player) with no foul language or people killing... that would be fun for a 9 year old.
Sorry to have such a restrictive area that I am looking for and thanks in advance for any help.

- From what I can remember, there is some limited killing of humans in Mech Assault.
- The best coop games on Xbox are Halo and Halo 2. You are killing covenant aliens, and the violence is not as realistic. Both games are rated M for mature, but most of the "foul language" occurs during cutscenes if you play the game on the hardest difficulty (called Legendary) and is not seen on the other difficulty levels. The games can probably be fun for a 9 year old (in fact Masked Gamer, a regular poster and one who I play Live with, plays Halo 2 coop with his young daughter.) And there are 4 difficulty levels, with the Easy level being accessible to a young gamer. Don't let the M rating fool you, Halo and Halo 2 are not really that Mature.
- Although I have not played it, I have heard that X-men Legends is a very good cooperative game. And it is rated Teen. It has more of a cartoon feel. And, the game should be fun for people who aren't even knowledgible about the X-men universe.

- There is a fun cart-racing game called Furious Karting. It allows for up to 4 people to play multiplayer. It is a comical, easy-to-acess racing game. I rather enjoy playing this game.
There are several other good cooperative play games for Xbox, but many of them contain violence or are realistic military shooters.

Hey sinfree,
I play Mech Assault with my son and he loves it. He was about 4 when we started.
The wife is very strict about games I can play when the kids are around, and she has no problem with Mech. His favorite thing to do is to chase me around after my mech has been destroyed.
