Concerning Xbox's fall lineup, you Xbots are full of crap.

B.C is nowhere near completion and won't make it out till 3rd quarter 2004 at earliest. Fable is rumored to be pushed back to late 2004, possibly Xbox2! Halo 2 is a 2nd quarter 2004 title. Project Gotham 2 is nowhere on the 2003 release list and Ninja Gaiden has been delayed so many times, I highly doubt it is going to make it before Christmas! Deus Ex 2 isn't coming out for months on PC and in will most likely be pushed back to a 2004 Xbox release. Doom III isn't even being worked on for Xbox until after the PC version is done so forget it coming out this year! Half-Life 2 has been pushed back till just before Christmas on the PC and like Doom III-the Xbox version comes second!

So what the hell does Xbox have coming this year? The new bundle looks like complete ass. Both PS2 and Gamecube have spectacular holiday lineups coming. And Moody-nobody ever said P.N.03 was going to be great. It isn't some "big hope" title like you are making it out to be. I am the only person who even hyped this game at all on the old boards and long ago, IGN gave an import report on the title and said it sucked eggs way back then! Where have you been?

Gamecube has a stellar lineup for the Fall? Read my reply to Gadfly's post about the Xbox burial. Mario Kart and a price drop is all the GC has going for it this Fall. Btw---check your EB release gate on Project Gotham 2.

Yeah, no one is going to want to fly speeder bikes through the forests of Endor, blasting storm troopers. 1080 Avalance; I guess all the 1080 fans died of old age. Kirby for Kitties. . . hey, kitties buy games too. And it still looks fun; and it was the Codger Massimodo who first got me interested in Kirby's Air-ride. Viewtiful Joe. . . a long shot that will probably sell better than you expect--word of mouth and reviews on this are good. F-Zero is practically a fall release. And FF:CC and Tales of Symphonia are done, they're just getting language translations and will be here very early 2004 which will factor in to which system people want for xmas. No one is into FF games? MGS: Twin Snakes is looking at early 2004 as well, and it s FAR from a port; the excellent story of the first game with all the physics and gameplay elements of the sequel--this game is going to sell really well. This isn't some straight port like xbox is getting with GTA.

First off I don't remember ever talking about games like Doom3 and Dues Ex. I realize that they are not even on the radar yet. I was strictly comparing games that are on the EB release list for 2003. That is because you, Geezer, and I really have no idea when these games are coming out. We are not in the business, so I think that it is best to speculate about games that are on the radar. I also think that it is foolish to assume that games like FF and MGS are going to attract buyers for the Xmas season when they are not even out yet. Most prospective console buyers are not "in the know" like you and I, so I just don't buy it. As far as the comparison's between the Xbox Fall lineup and the GC fall lineup we have already discussed that one, and despite what the other thinks, we are both happy with what is forthcoming.

I don't know why I feel like addressing your post but I do. I do own a PS2 also but I'll stick to the Xbox here...

As far as what Xbox has coming to it before years end here's what I'm looking at getting...

That's 15 games by the end of the year I'll be picking up for my Xbox... providing they are realeased when they're supposed to be and they live up to MY expectations. This list doesn't include any of the PS2 games I'll be buying.

I'm glad you're looking forward to the Game Cube's end of "03" releases but you sound like a FOOL when you say Xbox's got nothing!

I looked over the Game Cube's upcoming releases and the only one I would want is Rebel Strike...almost enough by itself to make me want to pick up a "Cube."

I doubt ports of Deus EX 2 and especially Thief 3 will be ready for X-box this year. Other than that, the multiplat titles outshine the exclusive fare for X-box. The same's true for GC, IMO, apart from Viewtiful Joe, Rebel Strike and MGS Twin Snakes.

Personally, all three consoles have rather weak lineups this fall but the X-box lineup has suffered the most in terms of delays and is probably the worst of the three for Christmas.

lets not forget that Xbox will always have the better multiplat game. And I heard rumors of the next Splinter Cell coming out just around the holidays, watch out for that one boys. Plus there is Amped 2 just around the corner, I'm not a big snowboarding fan, however lots of my friends who aren't "Gamers" will probably be picking this game up just because they like snowboarding, games like Amped 2 could really make a difference.
