I can't blame people who bought a PS2 before the other consoles came out because before PS2, I bought every console(outside of Atari Jaguar and NEO GEO) but once I realized what an overrated piece of obsolete garbage PS2 was(ntm with the worst bad game/good game ratio in the history of consoles...including Atari Jaguar) I consider anyone who buys a PS2, with Xbox and GC available, a complete moron who can't use their brain.

I don't really think that his point was that it is unintelligent to play anything other than Xbox. Hell, I own a PS2 and I enjoyed it a couple years ago when their games seemed fresh and exciting to me, so I understand Tappy's point. To him the Xbox provides him with a fresh and exciting gaming experience. You are just mad because he singles you out in his posts. Of course, that is something that he probably learned from your style of posting. No one deserves to be banned, but maybe some of your posts without points should be banned. :rollseyes:

I agree that if you strictly own a PS2 solely because you've been fed marketing garbage for the past few years and/or you're a sheep, then that's what sows the seeds for the decline of the industry as a whole. However, I honestly do not believe that owning a PS2 in light (and along with) the other consoles makes you a moron, or retard, or whatever other colorful adjective anti-PS2 people want to thow at you. I own all three systems, and while I think the PS2 is rather underwhelming, it does have a few excellent games in its own respect, and that's the only reason I own it and all three other consoles: The exclusives.

Anyway, there's no reason to start more meaningless flame threads over this topic. If Tappy or whoever else decides they want to be an insolent fanboy or flamer, then they can keep on trucking. Those of you who try and put yourselves above him by bashing him and whatnot should show your true so-called maturity by simply ignoring him. Sure, he and others can say some pretty stupid things, and it's perfectly fine to go and put people like that in their place in a respective thread, but there are times where it gets out of hand. Let's grow up, people.

eh...I guess if you have the time, having a PS2 along with other consoles is ok but when you speak of only a FEW exclusives...you're not lying. I would care to play a few PS2 exclusives myself...namely Mr. Mosquito, Frequency, and Amplitude and also there's a number of PS2 games I'd RENT as well but 3 games do not warrant a console purchase especially since they are all single player. All the killer app games everyone on here is infatuated with are just not very impressive on PS2 IMO...especially GT3 and Devil may Cry(which has style and challenge but I just don't believe is still entertaining you people after all this time).

It just baffles my mind how different the standards are per console...MGS2 according to gamerankings.com is the 2nd best game on PS2 when I played it I just wasn't very impressed the game is the very definition of style over substance...same goes with Medal of Honor Frontline which is extremely overrated IMO but they both are extremely popular high rated games on PS2 don't ask me why.

Also, it baffles my mind how anyone who would classify themselves as a gamer would be satisfied by solely owning a PS2 but I guess it all comes down to personal preference which is the same reason I'm satisfied with only my XBox and to tell you the truth, only 1 game on Xbox at a time usually.

Heck, it should tell you how much demand there is for online but since you're an X-bot and immune to logic and thought, I shall forego trying to explain why there is little online wise for PS2.

LOL, RTCW and Halo are the only quality FPS's X-box has if you want to dismiss others like Timesplitters 2 and Red Faction 2 and the rest. Unreal Championship on X-box is a broken piece of crap. In any case, I was talking about FPS's like TS2 and RF2. Check Gamerankings since you believe that they are a source of quality and get back to me with their scores. Halo is online for Xbox, try Gamespy tunnel or XBconnect.

I'll take your TS2 bet seeing as how the game excelled in multiplayer. Even though it didn't beat Halo, it's still the second best ranked FPS on the system. Going by Gamerankings of course.

As for RF2, it's the third I think.

Yea it is. Some of those challenges are downright retarded. That game got hyped ONLY because of all the different skins. The weapons are dumb, the level design is among the worst I've ever seen, and you can't jump...where's the fun in that?

Everything that he had to say was facts though 78.PS2 doesnt have any online fighting games.The Xbox does.

The PS2 doesnt have any FPS's online except for Tribes.The Xbox has many FPS's online.

Yes the PS2 has mass RPG's.But lately the best RPG's has been on the Xbox.Morrowind and KOTOR.You say nobody gives a rats ass about Online gaming.But yet its a part of the videogame industry isnt it?
